Privy Garden

I smile kindly,"I am glad we have something in common even if it is not such a good thing as worrying!"

I laugh lightly and reply,"No, only Edward is at court. My oldest brother is Thomas- he has a wife and a son although I rarely see his little boy as they live far away so I don't really feel like an aunt. Thomas is a barrister so he does all his work away from court now but he did return for my brothers wedding ...as did my mother."

I said,smiling softly.

''You probably miss them very much since they are not here at court especially your mother...your parents are certainly proud of you all''

I asked curiously.

''What about your father?Did he attended the wedding?

I smile as I think of my childhood home. The endless green fields, the willow tree that stood tall beside our home and the wind blowing through the vast vineyard,"I miss them dearly and I miss my home. I think of them often and we write to each other often..."

I frown and take a deep breath,"My father...he died last year. Just after Christmas..."

I touch my soft cheek as I feel my eyes grow wet. I look down a little embarrassed...

I smile when she was talking about how she miss her home ,but when I heard about her father my smile disappeared.

''Oh I am so sorry...I didn't know if I knew I never would mentioned,the last thing that I want is to upset you and make you sad''

I noticed that she was crying and I gently squeezed her hand.

''don't be embarrass it is alright to cry,you lost someone who was dear to your heart''

I look up and smile weakly,"Forgive me. I...I could not say goodbye and I miss him terribly."

''I have nothing to forgive you,lady Elizabeth...I am sure that you miss him very much,but you must remember that he is now in a better place''

I said,looking at her softly.

"I know,"I say softly,"My father way unwell for sometime and I know not that at least he is no longer in pain and will live a life of endless joy and happiness in heaven."

I nodded and said softly.

''Yes he is now in better place and he will always be in your heart,but I am sure that he would not like to see you so sad.''

Then I looked at her and said.

''Now if you will excuse me I must leave,take care of yourselfe and I do hope to see you again''

I smiled and slowly started to walk towards palace.

I smile kindly,"Of course princess. I bid you farewell."

I sweep her a deep curtsey and peer through my dark lashes. The princess disappears back to the castle...

walking around the gardens enjoying the warm weather, looking for my sister.

as i walk around the palace before the move to white hall, still no sign of my love but another man creeps into my mind as i stop and think off him wishing i could see him once again.
