Library

sitting in the library i pick up a book to read knowing very soon things will be different around here, missing my mother and father as i have heard whispers that they are at court

Pierre shut his book, and looked up. No one was in the room. He was all alone. Ah, he was used to it. He really was. But, he learned to ignore.....sometimes. "Oh, what shall I do with myself," he said.

I make my way into the library and take a book from the mass of leather bound books. Nestling into a chair I glance up at the quiet library-there is not noise except the echo of music travelling down the corridor from the great hall. I then return to full concentration on my book...

Pierre turned his head, and sees he is no longer alone. He looked at the blonde who was sitting alone. Should he speak to her? No. He did not want to disturb her. But, he was lonely. With that he walked to her table and sat down. "Hello, I am Pierre du Bois," he said.

I glance up and see a young man walk towards me. As he then introduces himself I smile and fold over my book,"I'm Elizabeth Craven,"I reply softly,"It is a pleasure to meet you."

"Charles reached the library in the afternoon. Norfolk asked him to wait for him there. Once he entered, he noticed there were few people around. Although, he tried not to be noticed and walked towards some shelves, behind a corner. He took a book and kept on pretending to read it, waiting for Thomas Howard"

I smile playfully and reply,"Hm...I think you are...French?"

I then softly,"Qu'est-ce qui vous amène à la cour d'Angleterre?"

Norfolk entered the library and blinked his eyes. He never read books and he couldn't understand why people would read books at all while there were many other things to do.
He snorted and walked on, passing by a young couple and he nodded slightly.

A little farther he saw Brandon at a table and he approached him quickly, slid at the other side and showed him the documents with a proud face.

He signed them! Just like that! As if he really was happy to finally get rid of him! He tried to whisper but his voice sounded louder while he was speaking and his eyes glistened.

"Charles bowed with his head as he saw Norfolk approaching him. He closed the book and looked at the documents"

Very well...it seems that our Cardinal will say goodbye at power very soon. What should we do, now?

"He asked, raising his eyes at his proud face"

Hu chuckled. "Yes. I am French," he replied. "J'avais besoin d'un nouveau départ dans la vie," he continued,"J'ai juste eu à s'en tirer, c'est tout," he replied. What was he supposed to say? His family were not the type of people most liked.

I rest my chin on the palm of hand and reply,"C'est tout? Eh bien, je comprends..."

I then continue with a smile,"Je pense que les tribunaux français et en anglais sont très différents-n'est pas?"

Norfolk smiled widely.
He-Henry wants us to hand the Cardinal the documents. He has to defend himself, against all our accusations!

He looked into Brandon's eyes with a triumphant smile.
But we will do more, Charles. We will send him away, rightaway. I can't stand him at court anymore, he must be out of the king's sight. We will order him to deliver us the Great Seal and make him leave for Esher, one of his own sees... What do you think of that?

"Charles listened carefully at him. He nodded, looking at documents again. Then he glanced fastly around and leaned on him"

I'm waiting for this moment since long time, Your Grace. I'll will be very honoured to obey to the King. As always...

"He whispered into his ear, showing him a satisfied smile"

I glance to my book as he seems so incredibly shy and reluctant to talk. I twist a tendril of hair round my finger and smile, unsure what to say...

"Je suis désolé. Je viens de faire beaucoup de choses ces derniers temps, et je me sens comme si je deviens fou," he said. Pierre ran a hand through his messy hair, and sighed.

"Ne vous excusez pas. Je suis sûr que vous n'allez pas fou ... vous regardez tout à fait normal pour moi."I reply kindly with a warm smile.

Pierre chuckled. And, placed his hand over his heart. "Je vous remercie, ma dame," he continued," Votre la première personne à réellement me dire que je ne suis pas fou," he continued," Et, je suis très heureux d'entendre cela," he said.

I laugh softly and reply softly in my little French accent,"Il me fait grand plaisir de vous voir heureux, Piere-car je suis sûr que vous êtes une âme charitable."

"C'est un plaisir de vous rencontrer, aussi," he continued," La plupart des gens que j'ai rencontrés anglais essayer trop dur avec l'accent français, mais vous l'arracher," he said. Pierre grinned, and rubbed his arm.

I laugh softly and reply,"Eh bien ma mère a assisté à la juridiction française, quand elle était une fille et m'a appris tout ce qu'elle savait. Quand elle a épousé mon père elle a assisté à la cour d'Angleterre et quand je suis né elle a quitté ..."

"Your English is very too Pierre..."

Norfolk grinned and winked at Brandon.
Let's finish this.... and the power is ours, my friend! See you tomorrow, we will meet in his study and bluff him.

He is so excited that he forgets to whisper, he looks around but the couple has only eyes for eachother and he smiles at him again.
See you soon. he leaves the library, not aware of a shadow in a corner, a man who stands there like frozen about what he overheard, waiting in silence for Brandon to leave as well so he can warn his master.

"Charles nodded. He waited for him to leave the library, hoping anyone had notice them. After few minutes, he looked careless around and left after him"
