Seymour family celebration

Dorothy helps the servants set the table for the celebration of her Papa finally coming to court. She waits anxiously yet patiently as she pours herself a goblet of wine to calm her nerves.

I was dressed finely for the family dinner. Though we were from the country, I had to make it known I was a man of court now. I saw my sister Dorothy as I entered the dining hall, and smiled warmly to her. "I must say, sister. This is an impressive spread."

Thomas got an invitation to celebrate his father's arrival at court. He walked into a private dining room where his brother and sister had already arrived to. He gave Dorothy a kiss on the cheek and nodded towards Edward as he took a goblet of wine. "Sister this is lovely I'm sure father will enjoy all his children under one roof for a change" I smiled and took a seat at the table.

I was already late for a celebration upon my fathers arrival at court.I was practically through castle halls and before I entered into private dining room ,I smoothed my yellow gown and smiled. ''Good Evening everyone!'' I said still smiling as I kissed each of my siblings on the cheek. ''Oh sister!Everything looks so wonderful,papa will be so surprised.'' I said with bright smile.

She saw the guests arrive at the party as she greeted them at the door. "I'm am so delighted you all came to such an event." she smiled as she exchanged kisses on the cheek. She walked to the table as she smoothed her purple dress to sit down. "thank you dear Edward, I decided to use the art of art of table decoration to use." she smiles as she looked at the candelabra on the table. "I must say Elizabeth, you look beautiful like a daffodil in spring." she then turned towards Thomas
"I am sure Papa will be most pleased to see his very own flesh and blood reunite in the same place." she smiles widely

I walk in and see my children standing before me. "All of this for me? A man never had a better family." I walk over to my girls and kiss their cheeks. Thomas and Edward come forward and hug me. I am handed a goblet of wine and smile.

I smiled to my sister. ''Thank you!You look very beautiful as well.'' I said and once when father came my smile get wider. ''Papa!It is so nice to see you again!'' I kissed his cheek back,still smiling.

Dorothy heard a voice "Father! We're so happy to see you. Please. Come and have a sit. she pulls a chair at the head of the table for him "You're just in time." she said as she smiled widely

Jane was a little bit late for the celebration , she knew that. But she was ready and took big steps to the room which celebration are being held. When she came to the room , she saw all Seymours were there. She smiled widely to them. "I am so sorry for being late. All of you are looking great." She kissed and hugged each one of them greatly. Then she took a goblet of wine. "Welcome papa!"

"Jane, I'm so happy you can come. And look, Papa has finally come to court. Isn't it wonderful?t she said as she looked from Papa to Jane with a big smile

I smiled brightly to Jane happy to see her again.''Jane!I'm so glad that you came.'' I said.

I bade hello to my father, and my siblings when they arrived. "Father, how are things at Wolf Hall? And how is Mother?" I hadn't been close to either of my parents, but I had not seen them in so long.

Thomas greeted his father and saw how happy his presence made all his sisters smile. Especially Dorothy she wanted this celebration to go on smoothly.

Dorothy walked back to the table and cleared her throat as if to make an announcement. "ladies and gentlemen, I would like to make a toast." she said as she waited for her family to be seated back at the table.

I sat down at the table looking at Dorothy as I waited rest of the family to do the same.

She smiled and raised her goblet as her sister asked. Then she nodded after her father's speech. She missed her all family being together after a long time. It made her feel good.

I raised my goblet smiling happily to my father and to all my family,which I missed dearly.

Dorothy stood up from her chair and took a sip of wine before making a toast. "Lords and ladies. Father. I would like to say how happy I am to see our beloved father come to court. To celebrate his presence, I have decided to host a little banquet. So without further ado, let's raise our glass for this happy moment." she smiled as she raised her goblet of wine in the air.

I raised my goblet as Dorothy made the speech, glad to have the family all together in one place at last.

Dorothy smiles at Elizabeth "I had to do something special about Papa's homecoming." she sat down and started eating as soon the servants placed the food on the table.

I moved my food around the plate. And shall we be doing the same when mama comes to court. I started eating.

"Perhaps. Any good news in the family should be celebrated. Whether it be engagement, marriage,or the arrival of a child." she takes a sip of wine as she cuts up her meat "If it's a birthday, we can possibly do something a bit more special."

I smiled at my sister dorothy for her generousity It would be nice to have a family get together at least once a month! Now that we are all at court we hardly get to catch up so it would be nice to find the time for each other! We are after all family. I looked at them all
