As usual I arise before the sun to ready myself for the day. I break my fast while my secretary briefs me on Denmark's affairs. The sun begins to peer through my chamber window beaming orange and pinks on the whites of my chamber. I rise from my desk and glimpse out my the windows taking in the vast immaculate grounds of white hall palace. I finish my paper work for the day and decide to take a walk through the gardens. As I walk I cannot help thinking of The Queen of Sweden and our meeting at last eves banquet. I envision her delicate and fragile appearance, her flawless snow skin , pale hair and robin egg eyes. Margaret is much to beautiful and refined for Gustav. While walking past the archery targets I see The Queen of Sweden with her ladies. I bow and kiss her hand, " Margaret, you look captivating as always."

I chatter with my ladies about the banquet last night, they are in good spirits from all the dancing and handsome English men. Gustav arose much earlier then I as always. He mumbled something about meetings with other reformers. I just nodded and was glad that he never commented on my rosary beads. It was a beautiful day and I was admiring the Tudor roses in the gardens when I am approached by Frederick, the kung of Denmark. He takes my hand and kisses it, I feel excited and cannot understand why I would care about speaking to the kung of Danes. "Eres Majestat, I did not expect to see you this morning. Are you meeting with the Protestant reformers like my husband?Or just enjoying the beautiful gardens as I am?"

I try not to blush at Frericks's complment but I feel the color rising to my cheeks and hope my ladies do not overhear and start with their wild imaginations. " You are quite charming eres Majestat, does the English climate bring it out of you? I have heard so many stories of the kung of Danes but they do not seem to represent you well. You have quite the silver tongue."
I smile teasingly at him, he seems nothing like he vile rumors I have heard about him. He seems dashing and engaging. I hate to admit it but he is handsome too, maybe too handsome.

I playfully pull her arm "walk with me, Your Highness" I could listen to her speak all day her Swedish accent is so endearing and curbs my home sickness. "Stories? " I laugh gently "I am sure many stories circulate my court as well . The Danes chased my nephew away to put me on the throne, but I swear they are plotting my demise as well. Nay not even start me on Norway my other kingdom. I will tell you this much, there is a reason I never set foot in Norway. " I look over at her and watch her red lips form a smile and become mesmerized by her eyes and the sound of her voice. "enough of me , your highness. I must know of you . "

I let the kung take my hand and walk with him as my ladies stay many paces behind us. His exuberance is catching and I find myself enjoying our walk a bit more then I should. I cannot help but laugh at his stories. "What would you like to know about me? I am not one to meddle in politics, I leave that to all you kungs but I try to help our people. Especially the the poor, sometimes I have to give a little nudge to Gustav so he can see that one does not always have to use force. I try to show our people by example. It would be nice if Sweden and Denmark could form an alliance, especially if you worry about Norway. " I notice that I have his full attention and he seems to be weighing my words.Surely there is no harm in getting to know our enemy. I smile brightly as we continue with our walk.

I intensely listen to every last word she speaks. " Peace between our nation could cause great change . Alas, Gustav would never allow such a thing. We sit down on a bench and he accidently brushed has hand against the bottom of my hair. I make sure that my women are still close enough around so that our conversation is deemed proper. But what can be wrong with discussing our two countries in such a civilized manner? Why does it matter that I find the Kung of Denmark amusing? I smile and look up into his eyes and see the color of the sea.
"Thank you eres Majestat, but I would imagine that you find me very dull. I am no Anne Boleyn. I have truly enjoyed our stroll. It is good to speak about peace, ja. The world is changing, look at the reformers; look what Kung Hendrik did in England. Why is it impossible for us to be close allies? Gustav would have to see the good that would come to Sweden and Denmark. What if the Nordes target us? Nothing is impossible, as friends we could accomplish so much more. Do you not agree?"
