Chateau de Nemours

Christophe became aware of the sound of horse hooves, a carriage coming up the walk. He peered out the window and espied his wife, whom he hadn't seen in many months. With a smile on his lips he went out to greet her, hoping she would be happy to see him.

"Angelique, my dear wife. Of course I am happy to see you again. Come here," he said, slowly bringing her back into his arms. She felt thin and frail in his grasp and he worried that perhaps she'd been ill during her absence. "Come, let us out of this heat and get some refreshments, yes?" He glanced at her cherry red lips, wanting to kiss them but also commanding himself to take it slow.

She sighed in relief as he spoke of his happiness to have her    back. Angelique felt as if she was floating as he enfolded her into his arms. He was a strong support and she felt safe being held up safe in his arms.
  Sorry husband I caught a terrible fever on    the carriage ride over. I had to delay the journey and I find myself rather weak and exhausted. Would you mind carrying me in Christophe.
 Her pale blue eyes flashed up to him she became self aware of her appearence was she that sullen in the cheeks.

"Of course, your gentle knight will happily take you inside. I think you must rest in our room. I know the journey can tire anyone out." With careful yet firm grasp he took her in his arms and felt just how frail she felt. He worried over it, and kissed her softly on the forehead.

Thank you my dear knight.
She smiled as he kissed her forehead curling up tighter in his arms. The brim of her nose was red from the cold. Angelique always felt so small in his arms even in good health. He was handsome and these past few months Angelique felt as if she had neglected him.
Was you very lonely without me here my beloved.

"I was," he admitted. "But that doesn't matter now. You're here, and I'm going to take care of you."
