Mi querida princesa,

I humbly write to you on a matter of urgency concerning the health of your sister her Royal Highness Isabella of Portugal. La princesa is gravely concerned about your safety so much so that only after a day of giving birth to a son she is risking and laying her life down for you. The birth I hear was not easy she was cut open and this is very dangerous for her to travel overseas especially if the sea is bad. I write to ask if you shall come to Bavaria where you shall be treated with the upmost respect that a Princess deserves. As the wife of the Spanish Ambassador Inigo Mendoza I myself will await your arrival.

May you be blessed Princess

Humble servant

Francisca de Mendoza.

Lady Francisca,

I'm most grateful to you of taking your time to write this latter to me, and inform me of my sisters health and plans. Your concern about Isabella touch me and my sister is very lucky to have a friend like you.

If I knew about her plans and health, I'd have come in Bavaria with first ship, but she didn't even informed me about me being an aunt. Never the less I'd never let my sister to compromise health or to leave her child. I shall be in Bavaria in the morning, and until then I mast ask of you to take care and keep an eye on my sister.
