Peacefully praying

Jasper had decided to come to mass on his third day in court. It was unusual for him not to attend mass every morning, court was a whole more casual and informal affair-no matter how unexpected that was. Usual mornings involved a ride to the nearest church, the laboriously long sermon and the feast upon return. Now he could wake when he pleased, go to mass when he pleased...

He quickly genuflect at the one of the wooden pews and slipped into the seat. As he pulled now the kneeler he done so quietly, all the while he had began to pray. With clasped hands he looked to the crucifix,"In nomeni patri et filii et spiritu sancti..."

Margaret walked in the Chapel for praying. It has been a while since she visited the chapel. She had no time after marriage. She felt changed after Cesare had her. She crossed and sat down silently, putting her hands together

Margaret was whispering the rosary with closed eyes. Once she felt someone next to her, she turned her head and saw a young woman. She smiled her back "My lady...you must be lady Parker, right? I heard about you. My name is Margaret Wyatt.." She said whispering, holding the rosary in her hands

I smiled kindly "Yes, I am the lady Parker. It's nice to meet you my lady." I knew she looked familiar she was that poet Thomas' sister. "I suppose you come here as I do, to seek sanctuary?"

Margaret nodded "Yes, my lady. I came here often, usually. But after my marriage I had not so much time to spend my days in prayer, as I did before. I just came back from Genoa.." She answered while smiling kindly

She was a very beautiful woman so I wasn't surprised when she mentioned she had just got married. Are you from Genoa? If you don't mind me asking who is your husband? I asked only out of curiosity.

Margaret smiled and sighed thinking at Cesare "Of course, my lady. My husband is the Duke of Genoa, Cesare Garcia. Do you know him?" She asked curiously

I thought for a moment I know of Alfonisa, duchesse of Genoa, but I didn't know she had a brother. My congratulations to you. I'm betrothed as well to George Boleyn I said not wanting to sound too full of myself.

Margaret smiled and nodded "Yes, I know that, my lady. I met your future husband few times around court. He seems to be very close friend to my husband.." She answered still whispering

I lowered my eyes when she said she met George. Although, I knew he was quite the ladies man. "Oh is that so? perhaps we should all have a dinner together sometime?" I said wanting to know how close George was with this woman.

Margaret nodded, surprised by her proposal. She smiled "Of course...it's a very nice idea, my lady. I'm sure Cesare will be glad to accept such kind invitation.." She showed her a fake smile, not feeling happy of sharing table with George Boleyn. She felt he hated her for some reasons
