King Richard's study room

I entered the study and I curtailed to his Grace. I wore a beautiful pink gown with many jewels and a diamond necklace.
"Your majesty may I suggest that whilst my brother Ferdinand is still here that the alliance treaty be arranged for my brother is known for losing interest at times"

Richard looked at her and smiled

Please, my Lady. Sit here...

He said showing her the empty chair in front of his desk

So..you look worried for my alliance with your brother, if I'm not wrong. Well, I assure you that such alliance will help my country and your family as well, Princess Eleanor. Especially your mother..

I sit down as he requests in the empty chair.

"My lord do you have a date set to sign the alliance treaty that was previously discussed and it would please me a great deal to know it is done and that mother will be helped by your country too. I only ask this my lord as I know my brother well and when his mind is distracted he forgets the purpose of his visit at times. How fares your lady wife?'

Richard nodded and smiled

I understand what you mean, my Lady. There is not a date, yet...but the alliance will be signed soon. And about your brother's distractions...no need to worry. I think you are talking about the ottoman dancer I gave him as a gift. She is just a slave, my Lady. She can't do nothing to ruin our alliance. Also, she will be back in Turkey soon..

He explained looking at her

I looked intriguingly at the King before I spoke.

"Well at least I know having an alliance with your country is perfect for Spain and yes it is that dancer that troubles me. You say soon she is to return to Turkey yet I heard my ladies talking about Ferdinand writing to the Sultan to keep her. I just worry this will affect the alliance. Should you need support in anything my lord I can offer you the Spanish support to in this alliance as a princess of Castile."

Richard took a deep breath

Well...if he wants to keep her, this can create some problem in your family. Especially...if the ottoman girl will give him a child. A muslim child. But I think the Sultan won't let her stay away from Turkey so long, my Lady Eleanor. So...I suggest you not to worry about that..

Richard thought for a moment and nodded

For your sister Isabella...but of course. I can arrange a suitable marriage for her. There are many noblemen still umarried. And this marriage can be a good alliance for us. Although...you need an husband as well, my Lady..

He smiled

Richard nodded after her words

The King of France...of course. I heard he just lost his wife. So...have you already met him? And how do you feel knowing that you're going to be he new Queen of France?

He smiled looking at her

I looked at him then thought for a moment before replying.

"I myself have not personally met the French King but many tell me he is a good man. I heard his wife was loved by her people and if this marriage does happen I do hope I will be liked too.

For me it is going to be difficult at first to be a Queen but I will warm to it. My mother has taught me many things too so i do hope I am ready when the time comes.

Richard smiled kindly at her

I'm sure you will be a good Queen. Francis will adore you. After all, your mother taught you well. And I will do my best to help her..

I looked towards Richard

"I am happy to hear you will try and help mother and I am sure when i become Queen that Francis will help too. I insist you and your wife travel to thy coronation and feast too as my guests my lord to thank you too. Please also inform me if you find a suitable match for my sister."

Richard nodded

Of course I will, my Lady. And thank you for your kind offer. I shall be happy to come at your coronation feast. You must be very excited. I wish you to have children with Francis. A Kingdom needs more than one heir for the throne. So...if something bad would happen to prince Henri, you would be the mother of the next King of France..

He explained looking at her

As I told you, I'll do my best to find a good husband to your sister Isabella, my lady. And I'll be happy talking about that with you and your husband to be. And about children...yes, I have a son. His name is Maximilian, but I call him simply Max. His mather is Emperess Isabella of Portugal, your sister in law. I perfectly know that she is married to your brother Charles, my lady. And that's why Max can't be my heir on the throne. So we are almost...relatives. But I hope my wife Eleanor will be with child soon..

He explained

Everyone moved around her quickly, straightening out the petticoats beneath her dress then her hood. Some of the kings men murmured, and others watched on in silence. How would the courtiers perceive her? With questions still swimming through her mind, the door opened and Eleanor walked inside the study, the door shutting behind her.

Eleanor continued to fondle his cheek as she spoke without looking away from his warm -dark eyes.

Richard stared at her eyes letting her playing with his beard

He whispered before holding her waist with his hands and kissing her lips with raising passion

While her husband's lips were touching her own, she noticed that his eyes were dark brown like those of the chestnut trees.

“Maybe we could share a chamber tonight! Like we did when we were newly married.”

Richard smiled string at her

I can't ask nothing better, my beloved. I'll wait in my bedchmber tonight. And...who knows? Maybe we'll conceive finally our prince. What do you think?

He added whispering at her ear

Eleanor felt an electrifying shiver throughout her body as they kissed. She was not accustomed to such sensations and looked timidly down, embarrassed by such sentiment.

“ I hope our union tonight will prove fruitful, for I know that your grace needs an heir to protect your bloodline.”

To her own satisfaction, Eleanor embraced her king on the cheek inhaling his desirable perfume.
