Chandra Knight's bedchamber

Chandra returned to her room after seeing physician.Once when she was inside she sighed deeply,she was not sure what she will do now,this will change her all life.She drank the medicine that he gave her and then put the bottle at the table.Then she walked towards the window and pushed aside one of the curtains.The dreary rain drops,splattered against the window,the gloom seeming to seep right into her her soul as she leaned against the window seat and gazed outside,quietly thinking to herself.

Dorothy comes to a door and knocks. Hoping she came to the right place.

As soon as she heard the knock at her door she looked away from window and call out.''Come in.''

She opens the door and walks into the room. "Is anyone here?" Dorothy spots Lady Chandra sitting by the window."I didn't see you there Chandra." she closes the door behind her."How are you this eve?"

She stood up,smiling when she saw Dorothy entering. ''It is so nice to see you,Dorothy.Please come and have a seat.''She said leading her towards the sofa. ''I'm well just a little tired,since the little one don't want to give me some rest.''She replied with soft smile.''And how are you?''

Dorothy walks to a nearby seat."Tis also a pleasure to see you. I hope I'm not disturbing you interrupting anything." The sun shone slightly through the window creating the painted glass to glow in the room. "Little one you say?" she looks about the room seeing no child in sight."You must be with child then? She didn't notice anything physically about Lady Knight.

She shook her head softly. ''Oh you are not disturbing me at all.I'm very glad that you came.''She said and then she nodded with her head happily.''Yes I'm with child and married now.''She said placing her hand on her belly softly.

Dorothy was happy for her to be with child."That is so wonderful to hear. I congratulate the both of you great health." she wonders who would be the lucky lad be ."Who is the lucky gentleman?if you don't mind me asking"

She smiled to her softly. ''Thank you for your wishes.It is most wonderful feeling knowing that another life is growing inside of you.One day you will see how special it is.''She said. ''Oh I think that I'm the lucky one...He is prince of scotland.''

That was a bit of a surprise to her"You
are indeed lucky. It's not everyday something extraordinary happens that a proper and beautiful lady as yourself marries a handsome prince like himself.

She nodded with her head a little.''It is like stories I had read in books and I never believed that something like this could happen to me.''She said happily.''And what about you,do you have someone special?'' She asked with a smile.

She looks out the window and then looks at the woman." I pray the marriage between you and your husband stays valid and secure and the child to be born healthy and legitimate." she twirls her hair around her finger and looks off into the distance."I'm afraid not. I'm wishing on every star and wait patiently like the other ladies in court."

Chandra smiled to her kindly. ''Thank you...I forgot to ask you,would you like something to drink?'' She asked politely. ''Oh,I'm sure that soon you will find someone.How would you not?Any man would be lucky to have someone like you.''

"Yes please, I was quite exhausted finding my way here." Whitehall has many rooms all over the place Thank you do kindly my dear. I'm sure my father would like me to give him grandchildren and I also suppose when I do find a husband he also wants me to give him a son.

She smiled and nodded. ''What would you like to drink?I have wine,ale,milk and juice.'' She offered kindly. ''Yes I'm sure that your father would like some grandchild and for husband if he loves you he will not mind if you give him a girl.''

"Wine would be plenty" she said while smoothing her skirts of creases " some people have to consider themselves greatful if the husbands will love the child when they receive a son or daughter. It will be quite surprising if they would like a daughter. Is it not?"

She stood up and pour wine into the goblet for Dorothy and one with juice for her.She nodded slightly handing Dorothy a goblet of wine. ''I fear you are right which is very sad but maybe one day things will change.'' She said as she sat down again taking a little sip from her goblet.

"Indeed it can be, it must be how it works around here especially with the king of England." she takes a sip Hopefully things like that can change over in Scotland when your dear husband claims the throne."

''Maybe it will change here as well.'' She said with a sight. ''I just wish for my child to be healthy,my husband told me that he will love me even if it is girl but that we should pray for boy so I don't think that things are very different from here.''

"Is that so? I never thought it would be quite similar." she says with surprise "I guess you are right. It doesn't matter if you give him a son or not. It only matters as long as it's a healthy. I know every King needs a son to take his place.

She nodded sadly. ''Yes it is the same like here.'' She said and then smiled a little. ''Yes that is only thing that matter and the only thing I care about.''

"I do hope your prayers are answered" she really do hopes for the Princess to give Scotland a prince. "Anyhow, what were you before you became a princess if you din't mind me asking."

She gave her a small smile and shook her head a little. ''I was Governess before I married William.'' She said with proud voice,she was never ashamed of who she was before.

"A governess? not bad" she didn't know what could be better or worse than than a governess bring swept off her feet randomly by a prince. "you are certainly one lucky woman to have herself swept off her feet like a fairy tale that has come true."
