"Charles has never liked mother that much he finds it necessary to have her imprisoned there i myself arrange her household. She is at times a nightmare when she gets angry my lord. She is well cared for what seems to be the problem?"

Well..there are rumors, Your Majesty. Many says that your mother could be...mad. Of course this is not true. But maybe your brother Charles believes in this..

I look intensely at King Richard then wait before replying.

"My lord what you are saying is indeed true for Charles believes such things but he himself is not of a sane mind these days either. Regarding mother she is not mad and the convent is the right place for her for if she is allowed to leave there by myself who now runs her household many believe she may try to take Spain back too. She evens mourns her dead husband too."

Yes, I understand, Your Majesty. But no one is allowed talking to her...maybe except Spanish Ambassador. I think she needs to leave Convent to show she is still Queen of Spain..

"Mother is indeed only allowed to speak with those that have my favour and you are suggesting that she should be released from the convent and shown as Queen? My lord?

Indeed, Your Majesty. After all, she is the rightful Queen of Spain. She won't have the same destiny of her sister Queen Katherine, if she will be supported by her children. You and your brother Charles rule the Holy Roman Empire. And this could mean...war between you both. The question is, my lord: are you ready to fight your brother for your mother? In this case..you will have my army's support..

He finally suggested

"I thank you for your offer my lord in supporting me. Defeating my brother however will not be easy. I want my mother to be free and not held as a prisoner. My lord how many men can you provide me with?"

Well...I can actually provide you five thousand men. I admit I have no idea about your brother's army. But I hope my men can help to face him. If he wants war...we'll give him what he wants..

I have to ask though my lord providing that many men I do not want you to have a defenceless Kingdom may i suggest you speak to Eleanor my sister as she rules of Castile and has many men on her side they could help protect your kingdom whilst your men fight for me."

Of course, I already thought about him. My Kingdom won't remain without defens, Your Majesty. And as you wish, I'll talk to your sister. You'll see, everything will go right for you and your family. While men prepare themselves for war, you may stay at my court as long as you wish..

"I thank you my lord it will be great use to me your men. I will stay and if you can prepare your men for a few weeks it gives me time to prepare myself. Thank you too my lord for protecting my sister Isabella in my absence she is weaker than most as mother she is closest too."

Very well. I retire to my chambers. I suggest you to have rest as well, my Lord. We'll see again tomorrow for the banquet in your honour. The whole court will join..

He gestured to guards to escort the Emperor and other guests to their chambers. Then he stood up from his throne and left the Room
