Dining room

I had been to my bedchamber and changed clothes and now I was meeting Royce in the dining room and I had decided to wear an all purple gown and I entered the dining room with my ladies.

I smiled at him.

"After my journey here I am very hungry and I cannot wait to try this fine feast you have prepared for me.

I started to eat the food that was on the table.

"The apartments are perfect and I thank you for them. Can you tell me what is the King of Scotland like my lord for I fear i am insulting him by being in his country and not visiting him in person?

I looked at the drink that the servant had just poured me then I took a sip.

"A drink from the New World. It is very nice. This will be popular I think. How did Scotland come by it?

I sipped some more of the wine then spoke.

"Queen Eleanor, she is indeed kind and elegant like myself. She has always looked out for me too. Our family are rulers of several countries.

Before I could answer Royce, I had just finished the wine he had presented to me and I suddenly came across feeling extremely unwell and as I looked up at him I dropped the cup on the floor and then faintly said "What have you done? I say as I then collapsed on the floor now realising that the cup had been drugged. I was not sure if it was Royce that had done it though.

The guards helped him to carry the Princess to his room, where she was tucked into the bed and at that point the cooks were brought before him.

Moments later the physician had arrived to examine the Princess. He bent over her and examined her before looking into the cup.

"It is as I thought my lord, the Princess has been poisoned by a strong herb. There is a medicine I can produce which may help her, but I cannot guarantee anything. It will take me a couple of days to prepare, but in the meantime please gives the Princess sips of this salted water. It will slow the poison down, hopefully giving me enough time to make the medicine. He said to Royce.
