"Charles looked astonished at him and frowened with a surprised smile"

Do you mean...Alfonsina's lady in waiting? The "Iron vergin"? God...my best friend fell in love with her time ago, but he never succeded to bed her. Well...she is attractive...

"He smiled teasingly and looked directly at his face"

So why you left such delicious thing?

"Charles was much more surprised by his last sentence"

The devil himself? God...what she did to you? I met her very few times in Alfonsina's chambers, but she seems very sweet and innocent...

"He sighed, noticing how his expression changed"

"Charles put a curious expression on his face after his words"

And...what did she want from you, exactly? Forgive me, but you're making me curious, now...

"He said giggling, raising an eyebrow"

"Charles laughed after he finished his sentence"

Well...probably she feared for her virtue, knowing your reputation. You know what? Your ex wife reminds me someone...she got angry everytime I talked with her...

"He added while giggling, meaning Nan. Then he turned serious towards him"

Is this the only reason, then?

"Charles was going about to laugh but he didn't"

She...hit you? Uhm...I'll teach you something about women, my lord. When they say No, it means Yes, and when they try to hit us, they wish to kiss us, rather. Anyway...does she knows about your...future?

"He asked curiously, noticing he was rather confused"

I'm glad to hear it. You know...she has been so unlucky, recently. When you see her, please bring her my greetings. She deserves to be happy...

"He said sincerely, turning his head towards him"

As Thomas is in a meeting with the king and his men and Lady Anne is taking a nap, she goes out to the garden for a walk. It is a sunny day and she enjoys the sunshine shining upon her face. She sits down under the huge Oak tree and closes her eyes, swearing herself that a glass of wine would be a great company.
