The Balcony

Inigo hugged her and rested his hand around her waist

I missed you greatly, mi amor. I don't know how I could stay so long far from you. You're even more beautiful than I remembered. I think you'll like this court. Bavarian people are kind. But I miss Spain. It would be great coming back at home. But I can't, for now. My cousin needs me. And I need you..

He added and smiling placed a tender kiss on her lips. He missed her touch

Inigo could not stop to kiss her back. He missed her lips and her touch on him

Mi amor, any temptation could replace you. I missed your eyes, your lips..and your body. I dremt about you every night. Ahora vamos a la cama y hacer el amor, my Francisca..

He said holding her tightly. He almost feared he could go away from him again

Inigo was holding firmly her hand. He could recognize the old desire into her eyes. He smiled lovingly

Ven conmigo, mi amada esposa..

With this sentence he gasped for a moment and leaded her until his room, leaving the balcony together

Isabella brought Beatrice to the balcony she made sure that the servants had placed enough candles for them both to see. When they were alone Isabella hugged her sister tightly placing a soft kiss on her forehead.
"I have missed you very much I can't tell you how happy I am now that you are here and that you let me explain my actions. Their was an underlying history between me and Richard it's always been him I had fancied but he chose another. Since we have had a child together I long to go home Beatrice I have lost my happiness and it is beginning to show."
The never ending tears were becoming an annoying now she had everything she had ever wanted so she thought.

The moon was shining in the sky, surrounded by glittering stars. The breeze was blowing, bearing the aroma of  flowers, and the bumblebees were mad after the aroma. Beatrice took a deep breath as they stepped on the balcony, then as Isabella hugged her, she returned her hug just as tightly.

I've missed you, too, so much. I'm so happy we're back together.

She said, then listened her sisters story, absorbing every word.

If I knew the things were changed and you to feel that way I'd have come sooner. But I'm here now so you're not alone not my little darling nephew.

She paused for a moment, before she asked,

Are you sure he has another? Do you know who she's?

Isabella smiled soon faded when she heard the last of her sisters words.

"Beatrice I never said that he has another women! But is this what the court is saying."

Pacing Isabella started to bite her nails he would never do such a thing to her surely he wouldn't. What an enitre mess she now found herself in.

"Then what do you pressume Beatrice I have no right to ask him for an explanation but I did see him recently at the Easter Party talking with a pregnant lady and he completely ignored you which is not ok you are most precious to me."

Beatrice quickly shook her head and looked at her sister.

No, no... I haven't heard anything. You just said ''he chooses another'' so I assumed wrong. I'm sorry I didn't mean to upset you.

She said apologetically, trying to make things right.

He's a King. He's always busy. You remember our father when he was a King, he barely had time to pay attention to anything... If I was you I'd ask him, but not to accuse, be spontaneous. Like you noticed the dress the lady had and you wish to know who she is, so you can ask her about it.

Isabella understood now why her sister was confused and she sat down taking her sisters hand.

"I have confused you when Richard was looking for a wife my name was on the list of suitable wifes but he married into the Mendoza family that is what I meant."

Isabella had fond memories of their farther and mother and the closeness of our families.

"He was a very loving farther when our mother gave him daughters he would never be disheartened. Now it is my duty to make sure that when you marry you shall be nothing but happy."

She breathed a sigh of relief happy to hear that this was just a misunderstanding. Beatrice followed her sister and sat down and squeezed gently Isabella's hand.

Then it means it's meant to be. If it wasn't than you'd not met him and feel in love in him.

She knew Isabella took every responsibility when they mother died, and she admired her for that. It wasn't easy to raise her brother and Beatrice all alone, and to taught them what is wrong and right, but Isabella did that job perfectly.

I know you want to see me happy as well as I want to see you happy. You deserve it more than our brother and I do. You deserve a happy ending.

Isabella placed a protective hand over her sisters if anyone tried to drag her sisters name through the mud like Max she was innocent .

"I am happy unlike some people in this court both of our parents are of royal blood we are TRUE princesses! The kings niece thinks that I would rather be Queen and have Max on the throne for once I just wish she would listern Max is my son and I don't want him on this throne and I don't want to be Queen in this land how many more times do I have to say this. I came here because I have a past with Richard but now my future contains only of you and Max."

Isabella took a deep breath poor Beatrice having to listern to this our sisterly bond was unbreakable a real prince or king would be lucky to have her as their Queen.

"I have my happiness with Richard we have a son that is my happiness and to see you happy will make me happy have lots of fun and adventures my darling read many books and write poetry fall in love with just thinking about love. Dance until your feet are sore and you can no longer dance laugh until it hurts and always remember who you are."

I understand you to not wish to be Queen, but for Max I cannot agree. He have every right to claim the throne. He's King's soon. Don't deny him that.  

She said in serious voice, then she added.

But that is your son and you know the best, so I'll not try to convince you other wise.

Beatrice continued to listen to her sister, and to absorb her advices which she always treasured.

Don't worry sister. I'm not so innocent as everyone thinks. I'd my own little adventures, and no matter how everyone thinks it's silly to dream, I shall continue and will also always hope for better. No matter how life is unfair.

Isabella stroked her sisters cheek she would always be sweet and innocent to her what a fantastic Aunty Max has.

"The King has not publicly reconized him as his son Max is a Prince of Portugal he is our little Prince but I love your spirit sister you speak truth he is half and half he could be a king in Bavaria we shall see."[/color]

Isabella smiled indulgently at her sister she wished to her more of her dreams and wishes.

[B]"And what of your dreams my darling if their is something you seek then I say don't hold back spread your wings and reach for it but first you must tell me."

Then we must do everything in our power to make King to  publicly recognize Max as his son. I may look innocent, but I shall fight for Max with every fiber of my being.

She said with determination written all over her face.

I seek to marry from love... I know, I know... It's not possible in my status. I'm a princess I cannot choose for myself.

Beatrice replied with a small sad sigh, looking over at sky.

Isabella had never seen this fiesty side to Beatrice before it was interesting to see so much strength in her.

"With you at his side I can rest knowing my son is safe and protected with you darling. If it was you in my place I would do the same. Richard will never publicly acknowledge Max he does in private."

She caught some sadness in her sister and very gently Isabella placed her hand under her chin and looked at her.

"You can find love sometimes you have to fight for it just like I am doing but I solemnly pray that when you are to marry that he will spend so much time with you that it shall turn to love."

Beatrice smiled and squeezed her sister's hand.

You and Max are my family and for family I'm ready to do anything. Are you sure about it? Maybe we can convince him otherwise. After all he doesn't have another heir.

She lifted her gaze toward her sister. Her words were encouraging and she really wanted to believe her dream to come true.

I don't think I shall marry for love. Our brother is already planing to marry me off.

Isabella felt exhausted just even thinking about it all.

"Max is my son he will be Prince Of Portugal that way if our brother never has an male heir Max will inherit the throne. Richard has a niece and I am not waisting my time in fighting with her it's funny because they say that I am twisting the Kings ear but it is them that are doing it to him about me."

Isabella stretched over the balcony she craved the sea of Lisbon but her sisters words stung her.

"Beatrice you forget that even though our Brother is King I still have as much power over the saying in whom you marry I am the eldest of you all! Ye of little faith Beatrice."

I'm sorry you'd to go through all of that alone... Whatever you think is best for Max I shall support it.

Beatrice said, not wishing to tired her sister with it anymore. After all Isabella had been through lot these years and she deserved a rest, but how strong her sister was amazed her, and made her admire her even more.

I know.. I know. It's just our brother already found some suitor for me and already sent them my portrait.

Isabella took a deep breath and stepped away from the balcony smiling at her young sister.

"We are both meant to marry our first cousins and it is strange because they are both called Charles. I would rather stay a Princess as you can retain that last drop of freedom. I think we should get portraits done of us both so we can keep them. The thing is when I am with Richard he takes away everything and he doesn't even know that he does it. Enough about that I want to here everything about you and what you have been up to."

Isabella wondered what her sister had been up to something fun she hoped.

Beatrice was surprised by this information. It was the first time someone shared the plans for her future to her.

No one cared to tell me that until now. Maybe we'd not marry them, many arrangements  can break and perhaps ours will. As much as you hate the idea of it, I do to. I'd not like to marry complete stranger.

She paused for a moment, then continued,

I wish to marry from love. Someone who will sees real me and not my title and wealth.  

She seated herself down again looking at her sister in wonderment. Beatrice had a big heart and a big future ahead of her if she really wanted to marry for love she could and she would make it happen that was what Isabella loved about her sister she just went and did it. I have no qualms in you marrying for love Beatrice. I can't have the man I love but I have a greater gift from him Max which is greater and much more meaningful than anyone will ever know. Isabella loved sharing her most intimate details of what she stored in her heart with her sister.

Beatrice sighed quietly. As much her sister had faith in her she knows she'd not marry for love, there was her brother to make sure of that.

I only wish to have what you have. A love and child produced from that love.
