Anthony & Margaret's Bedchamber

Margaret followed Anthony in their bedroom. There was a new apartment prepared for them. It was a surprise, cause she knew nothing about that. Anthony nodded he was listening intently but he felt his whole body freeze up as the words came out like daggers bursting their new found happiness. Margaret entered in the room after the party. She was rather tired. So she threw herself on the bed "Oh Anthony..it has been a nice party, don't you think? But now I just wish to rest.." She removed her shoes and looked at her husband smiling "Come, lay with me, my love.."

Anthony shut the door behind them both smiling to himself. He very rarely slid the bolt across the door but tonight he felt like he had to for some reason or another. As he readied himself for bed Antony noticed Margaret laying on the bed. Her fiery red hair sprawled out around her body as she merrily lay upon the bed. Margaret, you seem so happy tonight. I hope that I shall always make you this happy in our marriage.

Margaret smiled and she looked lovingly at Anthony. She felt so happy "Yes, I feel happy, Anthony. I have something to tell you.." She paused for a moment. Then she bit softly her lower lip and looked at him again "My love..I think I might be with child.." She giggled, not refraining her joy

Anthony was caught off guard by her words. For a while he had thought that perhaps it might not happen due to a tragic event in Margaret's past. He was more happy for Margaret about this news. My love are you sure. Anthony asked, trying to hide the doubt in his voice. He would hate for her dream to be shattered.

Margaret smiled and she nodded slowly "I think I am..yes. I have not seen a midwife, yet. But I missed my period this month. And..I have other signs of pregnancy. Oh Anthony..aren't you happy?" She exclaimed, wrapping his neck with her arms and staring at his deep eyes

Of course I am happy my dear your dream has finally come true. Brushing back her red hairs from her face Anthony stared deeply into Margarets' eye's albeit even if he was concerned for her safety. He couldn't quite believe that he was going to be a father the prospect of having children never even crossed his mind until he met Margaret. She had come into his world and made it a better place for Anthony. In return, he loved her unreservedly and whole hearted, never straying from his one true love. Perhaps we should see the new midwife just to confirm it.

Margaret nodded still smiling "Oh yes, I shall see her. I can't wait to know if we'll be parents soon. Oh Anthony..isn't it wonderful? Finally a family..the family we always dreamt about.." She said, and she rested her head on his chest with closed eyes

Anthony felt relief wash over him when Margaret agreed to this. With open arms, he held her tightly, letting her lean against his body as though it was a pillar of stone.I am happy that you are happy my dear. Tell me, do you wish to continue living at court. In Anthony's eye's it was no place for a child to be it was full of all kinds of people most of them devious and scheming. Indeed, whatever Margaret wished to do he would naturally comply.

Margaret removed her red hairs from her neck. And after a deep breath, she looked up at him "I would love to, Anthony. There is my best friend Elizabeth here. And I would like that our child would raise with little Esther. But.." She smiled and looked lovingly at him "If you don't like courtlife, I'll follow you at Allington Castle..or wherever you wish. Many things are changing here. Also, it's my duty as wife to follow my beloved husband.." She placed a soft kiss on his chest

Somehow it unsettled Anthony at the prospect of moving Margaret back to her family home despite the fast changes happening in Whitehall. He wanted to do right by her protect her and child, alas she was a free spirit even before they had met Anthony didn't want to change that.
