News had reached me that an old and very good friend, whom I knew from London had come to court. It had been sometime since we had seen each other and I was bursting to tell someone of the upcoming marriage to the love of my life Edward. With the court at Windsor it was rather quite. With my hair down I merrily walked to her chambers.

I was feeling rather tired from traveling, but I was also excited to be in court and my new life starts today. I had just finished unpacking my clothes when I thought about my good friend Ann, I hope she is well and that we get a chance to talk like we did before.

Reaching her chambers I knocked gently on her door. With it slightly ajar I pushed slightly speaking as I did. Ursula, are you in sweetest I have the most happiest of news. Court life would certainly be more fun now she was here. Ursula was a proper women made of strength and power. I could not wait to introduce her to Catherine Earnshaw as well.

I beamed with happiness as I saw my old friend again. I went and sat by the roaring fresh fire taking in her appearence. You haven't changed a bit indeed your beauty grows everytime I see you. This was going to be a long evening full of chatter and gaiety. Do I look withchild then sweetest? It wouldn't surprise me if I was. The most happiest of my news is that I am in love with my beau Edward and we are to marry. My smile was wide and I looked on lovingly at my old friend. You look rather happy yourself friend. Do tell me all your tales as I fear it has been to long. What I loved about Ursula was that she was free spirited with a hint of sweetness. All the men of this court would surely fall head over heels for her natural charm.

Looking at Ann made me so happy and it made me think about the long nights when we would sit and talk about our futures, it felt like we had never been apart. Would you like a drink dear friend? I was so happy to be in the same court as my beautiful friend I knew we were going to have fun just like we did before. You have to tell me all about the man that has made you very happy and your getting married that is the best news and maybe that is the reason why you are glowing with happiness I was so happy for my good friend she derserved to be happy, Every since I have known her she was kind and caring and a true friend. I have a few tales to tell you Ann I said with a flirtatious smile but deep down I wanted to find someone that made me feel like Ann does. Do you think there is any handsome men available at court for me?

I put a finger to my lip pursing my lips together. I shall let you decide what we shall we drinking. Giggling I stretched my arms over my head, slouching further into the chair. Edward Seymour is my beau's name I don't care about ranks or wealth as long as I am with him. Such feelings are rare I find myself asking "Am I dreaming this." I could never flirt with a man. When we were young I used to watch in awe as Urusla flirted with stall boys. You deserve only the best of men dear friend I shall name a few: William Parr brother to that dreaded Catherine Parr. Henry Courtney relative to the king I do believe. What type of man are you looking for. I didn't know any single men at court Edward probably would though. I looked at Urusla with a touch of concern she had never before asked me about men.

I walked over to Ann with a goblet of wine and placed my hand on her's please do not be concerned dear friend, one day I would also like to find love, but for now I might just have a bit of fun I said with a flirtatious smile. I sat down and took a sip of wine and thought about this William parr. What is the parr family like? I have not heard so much about them. I was excited to start my new life at court and now I have my close friend by my side, I was sure we would spend many nights dancing or playing cards.Edward has made you very happy dear friend and ranks and wealth do not matter, when are you to marry? I am so happy for you both.

Taking the wine I took a long indulgent sip. Aah this is very good wine dear one. I'm not worried about you I know you can look after yourself. Their were times when I did worry about Urusla that she might fall into the wrong company. With her divine beauty she could never cause a scandal though one of her many talents. The Parr family I had never come across them until recently. Catherine Parr is married to a bore of a man and she has great beauty if only she could see it. Anyway I want to here more about you...

I was in the french court for some time a lady in waiting for her higness Queen Claude, and met the Lady Ann and her sister Mary a few times, I think Ann is a bit like me wild and strong and carefree, but since being at this court I have not heard many nice things. Have you met the lady Ann? I have also met her brother George he can be sweet but he has a dark side when he drinks that scared me.
I thought back to those nights, the French court was a fine place to live, and there were many handsome men that kept my nights from being lonely.
I would like to go for a ride tomorrow, would you care to join me?

I shook my head as a sign of no I had not met them. But what did she mean about George Boleyn. No need to be scared of him! He is just a weak man hiding behind his sisters power. My Edward is more of a man than he is. I winked playfully as I stroked her hand reassuringly. I did not like to see her scared by anyone especially a man. I was trying to avoid horse riding as I was trying to give Edward a son. But clearly my friend needed a break for a day. Of course darling let's go for a nice day out.

Ursula smiled at Anne, " Or we could just go for a walk in the gardens I would like to enjoy the weather before I go back to my duties, and you can tell me all about your wedding plans. " My friend had finally found someone and i could see on her face how much she loves Edward.

I hadn't started on any of my wedding plans as of yet. I wasn't even sure if it would be at court or at Edwards home. lWould you like to help me Ursula? I stood brushing down my gowns as I tried to think of the perfect garden to take her to.

I smiled and stood up, And took Anne's hand " I would be an honour to help you Anne with your wedding plans. " Anne had found the love of her life and I was happy she asked me to help.
I walked over to my half unpacked suitcase and took out my cape. " I will unpack the rest later let's go and get some fresh air, we have much to talk about. "

Everything seemed better with Ursula around. The court seemed more lively and I actually enjoyed looking forward to another day at this court. That cape looks wonderful on you. You shall have the men at court falling to your feet when they see you.

I curtised and laughed, Why thank you Anne, I brought it in France before I left I do love the french fashion. I took Anne's hand and gently pulled her closer to the door " Let's go and see the gardens. "
