Guest Room

Faith smiled at her dear brother.

"We were in a field and mother was wearing a crown. Our father was dressed like a king.'

She said softly.

"Charles smiled, surprised"

Ohh...really? Maybe this dream means something...about your mother's royal origins...

She looked at her brother.

"Do you really think brother?"

She asked him.

"Charles nodded"

Yes...I do. Maybe your dream can tell us more about that. Who knows? I think you have some memories about your childhood with your mother...

"My childhood was in France."

She said to him.

"Charles nodded"

Yes...I know. But sometimes dreams show us things that we forgot completely, sister...

Victoria arrived to Suffolk with Elizabeth. She tells a servant that she would like to request an audience with the Duke of Suffolk.

"Charles stood up as a servant entered announcing his daughter. He smiled"

Of course...please, let her come in...

"He said, anxious and happy to see her"

"Your Grace." Victoria smiles as she curtsies

"Charles came closer to hug her"

Victoria...my sweet daughter! I missed you. Thank you for coming here to visit me. But why such formality? Just call me papa, my love...

"He said touching softly her chin"

Victoria smiles teasingly as she gets up and whispers something in Lizzie's ear. "Your Granddaughter would like to show you a talent that she has learned." she says as she sets her child down.

"Charles smiled surprised, and looked down at little Elizabeth"

Ohh...really? What have you learned, Lizzie?

"He asked smiling at his grandaughter. She looked so cute. And he imagined that maybe Victoria looked like her when she was a child"

Victoria walks back a few steps to give Elizabeth space to walk. She then tells her to walk to her grandfather. "As you can see, Elizabeth has learned to walk."

"Charles felt very touched to see little Lizzie doing her first steps. He smiled and took her in his arms"

"He kissed her cheek and looked at Victoria"

"Is Lady Catherine here?" Victoria says as she tells the servant to take her luggage, find an available room and unpack. "I didn't see her anywhere when I arrived in Suffolk."

"Charles nodded"

"He replied caressing Lizzie's hairs"

"There is no need Papa. The servants told me earlier that there is another guest room somewhere." Victoria tells her lady to take Elizabeth's luggage and follow the servants "Any news as of late?" She says as she walks over to her daughter to fix her hair

"He replied after her lady left them"

"Oh really?" Victoria raised an eyebrow "I thought I would never live to hear about Frances coming to Suffolk."

"Charles kissed Lizzie's forehead but he was looking at Victoria"

"He asked, wondering if something happened between them"

"We were when I was a girl." A servant tells Victoria that her room is ready. She tells them to give her a moment. "When I was nine,she told me many reasons why you weren't in our lives."

"Charles sighed deeply, still holding little Lizzie in his arms"

"A girl believes what she hears at that age." Victoria takes Elizabeth from his arms so she won't keep the servants waiting "I haven't seen her since I left home to marry Thomas." she starts walking towards the door "Has she married yet?"

"Charles left Lizzie in Victoria's arms"

"He answered, watching her walking towards door"

Thomas walked into the guest room and told a servant that he wanted an audience with his grace the duke of Suffolk.
