I had arrived in the Ottoman Empire, in the hope of seeing Dilara. I did not however get the welcome I expected as when I arrived, I knew where Dilara's chamber was from before when I had previously visited but I was caught trying to sneak in by the guards.
They had tied my hands behind my back and covered my eyes as I sat in the dungeon waiting to see what would happen to me.
Suleyman came in the dungeons escorted by his guards. He was told that Emperor Ferdinand had been captured in his Palace. As he arrived at his cell, he ordered to free his eyes and his hands. So while the guard entered in the cell, he spoke:
Well, well, well...the Emperor came to visit us. But I think you're wasting your time, Your Majesty. I was not informed by your arrival..and I need to protect my subjects. So, if you're here to kidnap my slaves..I'll make you change your mind. They belong to me! I gave you one of my slaves once..and it was a huge mistake!
He said firmly staring directly at his eyes

I was relieved to have been released as the Sultan came in and I looked at him when I heard him speak.
"Your Highness, I am sorry to have entered the way that I did into your kingdom, but I must assure you of this. I am nothing like my brother Charles and I do not kidnap slaves. I was truly honoured to have been gifted the beautiful Dilara by yourself and we were very happy together and it was only because of my brother's interference that things happened the way they did. I wanted to spend time with Dilara and yes I do understand that I helped her to be with child, but I would never hurt her.
I tried to save her from him, but my brother being cunning as he is has me fooled. I was finally able to come here to your Empire in the hope that I may be permitted to see her as I do very much love her. I also came to inform you that my brother Charles is angry and that he is threatening an invasion. I say explaining my visit completely.
Dilra Hatun told me everything, Your Majesty. I perfectly know what's happened. And I assure you that she is safe here, in her country. I also know that she was with child...and that she lost her baby because of Charles's men..who raped her! For ottoman law, now she has lost her honour and she can't be mother to one of my Princes. So your brother is preparing an invasion...because of a slave? If so, he will find us well prepared. And I could even allow you to see Dilara. But tell me: wil you fight at our side if Charles would attack us? Would you fight against your brother?
