My dearest Isabella,

I finally write to after so long time since you left Palace. Forgive me, but I've been very busy. Hope you're well treated in Spain, and that Charles is a good husband for you.
Our son Max is growing very well. He is healthy and happy. Of course, he misses his mother. As I miss you, Isabella..
But you don't have to worry. Lady Inge takes care of him and he now considers little Leo like a cousin. Hope you'll visit us soon, hopefully for Christmas.
This would be a very beautiful gift for Max. I miss you, and my affection for you never changed.

With love
Richard of Bavaria

P.S. Please, burn this letter after reading it. It could be dangerous. Remember we must protect our son from Charles

Richard,

It has been so long since I have heard from anyone. Even my sister Beatrice seems to of disappeared off the face of the earth. My reunion with Charles was a peculiar experience. He wanted to know about our affair immediately as I saw him. I always knew he had spies in every court but which is the spy in your court! I shall not withhold any secrets from you Richard. With the little time that I spent with Charles he did not have me in the way you have enjoyed. Many splendid moons ago. I shall return to be with you.

My dearest Isabella,
I'm glad hearing finally about you. I can't wait to see you here at Palace again. This would be the most beautiful Christmas gift for me and for Max.
I'm also surprised that Charles didn't get what he was supposed to have as husband, but I admit I'm happy hearing that.
Hope to see you soon

With love
Richard of Bavaria
