As we walk through the stunning gardens, I look around at the grounds of my new home as His Grace speaks "Tis a lovely garden Sir very tranquil and I adore Kennington" I smile "Sir do you think the Lady Anne will think you marrying beneath your station as I am her lady in waiting"

His Graces next words are like an arrow to my heart and I feel faint "My Lord" I exclaim "I shall not be a mistress, I intend to be a maid till my wedding night" tears spring to my eyes as I let go of his hand "I thought you were unlike the other men" I start to sob as I run back to my quarters in the hope Lady Mary will be near

I hear of the Lord Suffolk's arrival and I rush to Mary's chambers to comfort her:

" Are you all right my love you know that I will take you as a wife and not a mistress because I love you dearly".

" I am going to Whitehall to speak to my niece about all of this. I will be back in a few days and will let you know how it went and on my return I will talk the the lord of Suffolk myself and ask him what the hell he thinks he is doing".

" In the meantime my dear why don't you stay here and take command of the household while I am away I will inform everyone".

I kiss the lady Dawn on the cheek and leave the room to find the servants and I tell them:

" I am going away for a few days and whilst I am away you are to follow the lady Dawn's orders or my daughter's when asked and I do not want to hear otherwise do I make myself clear?"

I nod my consent, too upset to speak. After he leaves I walk through Kenninghall in search of his beautiful daughter
