| I smile and then strongly tap the roof of the carriage as a signal we may begin to leave. The carriage then moves away from court.
I smile then as we disappear and make the journey home...

| Grimhilda growled. She did not like it here at all. "Where are those girls? Once I find them they shall be very sorry," she said to herself. She kept her hood pulled over, and stared at the people of the English court. They gave her dirty looks, and she hissed at them. Maybe someone would speak to her. | |

| I glance out the window seeing the palace grow larger the closer I get. I admire the countryside and am relieved that this journey is finally coming to an end as I am starving and badly in need of a drink of wine....My carriage finally pulls to a stop as my door is opened and I exit stepping foot on english soil for the first time since visiting with my father some years back. I instruct my servants to unpack my carriage and ready my chambers as I head inside following behind them.... | |

| The great day has finally arrived! After long preparations, Henry came into courtyard to leave Palace towards Blackfriars, followed by Brandon and Cromwell. He found courtyard very crowded. People were greeting them, bowing and clapping their hands. He looked around with a proud smile on his face[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| All my loyal ladies behind, I walk out of the Palace. My head held high, waving and acknowledging the crowns. This is a sad day, a sad day to go before a court and have your marriage ripped apart. But these people, the people of England, love us and came to see us. As I walk slowly past, I hear cries of "God bless her Majesty the Queen!" And I feel their love and support, for I know them and the rest of the country are on my side. And I continue my long walk to the court, supported by the good christian English people... | Wolsey came outside and blinked his eyes as he saw Henry, brilliant dressed, making his way through a huge crowd, smiling and talking with people on his way. He turned his head as he heard people crying and noticed Catherine and her ladies, encouraged and welcomed by all people she passed.
He sighed and with a determined expression he made his way through the crowd, smiling weakly but he did not stop to talk with anyone of them. ´No, no... later!´ He kept walking and as he reached his carriage, he quickly stepped inside and left immediately for Blackfriars.

| No one payed attention to Fisher as he came outside. All alone he moved unobtrusive towards the ready carriages, the crowd only had eyes for the king and the queen, excited bacause it had never occurred before that both a king and a queen should come to trial. A few spoke encouraging to him and he smiled vaguely and thanked them softly. Finally he reached his carriage and left Hampton Court. | |

| Finally, after a long and tiring tour, Victoria menaged to put her feet on something FIRM. She never loved a grass like that afternoon. She didn't remember how long was Hampton from home... Elizabeth, her daughter, somehow was still sleeping in the nurse's arms. It was a long time since her last time at Court... It was strange to be there actually, but she didn't feel bad. Well, she missed Thomas, of course, very much, but she didn't regret her deision. | |

| "Charles was walking along main entrace. He needed some fresh air and decided to reach stables for a riding in the forest. He was thinking that maybe Anthony could join him. But suddenly he noticed a carriage, stopped at the entrance. A young woman came out from it, holding a baby in her arms. He looked curiously at her and decided to come closer to see better. Suddenly he felt his heart about to stop. As he recognized Victoria, he put an happy smile on his face. He ran towards her"

| As she heard a so familiar and loved voice, Victoria immediately recognized it. She left Elizabeth to the care of the nurse and runned to her father as if she was still a little girl. She hugged him smiling and laughing happy "Dad! I wanted it to be a surprise! she exclaimed I'm so happy to be here! I missed you so much! Victoria kissed his cheek and approached the carriage again to pick Elizabeth up and show her to Charles proudly And this is my little treasure she said kissing Elizabeth's forehead She's beautiful. Isn't she? | |

Oh...my sweetheart! I missed you so much. I...I had no idea you were thinking to come back at court. I'm happy to see you, my love...
"He said tenderly, caressing her cheek. As she showed him his granchild, he smiled happily and took her little hand in his"
My beautiful Lizzie! She is grown since last time I saw her. She has your eyes, darling. And her father must be proud of her. Where is Thomas?

| After a long journey by sea and horse, I finally arrive at Hampton Court where I shall meet King Henry VIII and his family. My brother, King James IV has sent me here to learn the ways of the English court as well as to help strengthen the ties between our two countries as they have been strained in the past. He also wishes me a suitable English suitor to marry but since the king has no sons, it might prove a difficult task. I leave the carriage with my lady in waiting by my side as we enter the palace. i look around anxiously at all the strange faces. I frown and take a deep breath, feeling out of place and shy | |

| I return early in the morning from riding, emerging from the murky woods. Dawn had not broken before I had left and only now did the sun shine through the frothy clouds. I smile warmly-feeling the golden rays on my pale face- and spur my tired horse on for another mile until we finally reach the castle.
I pause for a moment, my horse impatiently neighing and padding on the ground. A carriage pulls up outside the castle with trunks and boxes too-I ride closer and see a pretty young woman, finely dressed emerge from the carriage.
I dismount my hors gracefully and guide it forward,"Good day, my lady..."

Good day, my lady! And who may you be?

| I gently pat my horse and reply with a warm smile,"Lady Anne Grey...may I know what you are called?"
A stable boy then approaches me and offers to return my horse to the stables, I kindly thank him and hand him a gold coin.

| I smile still as I smooth out my gown, wrinkled from the long journey. I then push my hair back and straighten my head piece, holding back my long blond locks
I am Princess Madeline Stuart of Scotland. I am the sister of King James.
I take a deep breath and sigh as a slight breeze catches my a few strands of my hair
My brother has sent me here to learn ways of the English court! And you are a noblewoman I presume?

| I sweep a deep curtsey,"You must forgive me, Your Highness. I did not know...could I help you into the palace?"
I slowly rise and adjust my pearl encrusted hood,"Well, Your Highness. I was...I...I am not so noble anymore."

| I tilt my head slightly as she speaks. This lady seems very kind and gentle. That is what I need at the moment. But her tone seems to indicate something curious. she is no longer noble? I wonder...
My lady, I am pleased to make your acquaintance and I was told to expect a gentleman of the King's service to escort me to him but if you please, i would have you wait her with me. I am rather unsettled yet. Please do tell ....why are you no longer noble?

| I nod and smile kindly at her. As she speaks more in depth to me I notice her accent-Scottish, perhaps. It's soft and pretty, like her and she seems kind even though she is a princess,"Well Your Highness...I ran away from my home and became a nurse. I was going to marry an earl but he...treated me cruelly and poorly."
I smile a little,"I am now an independent woman."

| My crystal blue eyes widen as she tells me her story. A woman independant? I have never heard of such. I was raised to believe a woman was always to be at the side of a man. Curious, I question more.
A nurse? But my lady! if you were from nobility, why would you run away? I do not understand! Were you not happy as a child? Surely you lived in privilege!
