Charles Brandon's bedchamber

"Charles's curiosity was growing"

Deep blue eyes, you say? Well...I don't give much attention to men's eyes in court, actually. So I have no idea about his identity. Can you tell me...if he acted like a gentleman to you, at least?

"He asked with a curious smile"

She smiled and nodded.

"Yes, he did. But I don't think he is from here. At least I can say it from his accent. But I think I cant come across him again."

"Charles nodded after listening her with interest"

A foreign gentleman, then...Well, I warmly hope this is the right man for you, darling. You really deserve it. And Rinaldo needs a father. Will you introduce him to me if the thing becomes serious?

"He asked, taking her hand on his"

She smiled.

"Firstly Rinaldo has his godfather , I guess for now it is enough for him."

Then she continued.

"If I can see him again maybe something can happen between us. And of course if something serious happens in my life , you'll meet. What about you? Do you still steal all girls' heart at court?"

"Charles laughed, shooking his head"

Oh no...not anymore. I'm trying to change for Catherine. Well...I admit it's hard to resist to temptations...but I'm doing my best. She is with child, now...

"He said finally, happy to share this event with her"

With a spring in my step; I head towards Charles' bedchamber to tell him the news. Reaching the door my lady-in-waiting steps in front of me and knocks upon the door; announcing loudly.
"Her Grace, the Queen of Navarre requests to see your Grace...." It takes me by surprise; being addressed as such...it was strange and yet exciting at the same time.
I stand there; anxiously waiting...desperate to tell my oldest friend my wonderful news!

"Charles stood up from his armchair after the lady's announcement"

The Queen of Navarre? Oh...well, let her come in, of course...

"He said a bit confused, not expecting that Katherine already got such title. He looked anxiously at the door"

Alfonsina opened her eyes wide and smiled big.

"Oh my god! I am so happy to hear that Charles. You will be a father again. I am sure that Catherine will be a good mother , too."

Then there was an announcement. She stood up after that with Charles. She waited Queen to come in.

Entering; she smiles coyly and can't help but giggle. "Your Graces..." Inclines her head to Charles and the Duchess of Genoa. With effortless elegance, she extends her hand for them to kiss...giggling with childish glee as she does.
"Charles, I have wonderful news!!"

"Charles smiled warmly as he saw Katherine entering. He turned his glance towards Alfonsina"

Katherine...I'm so glad to see you so happy. I introduce to you lady Alfonsina Garcia, Duchess of Genoa and my dearest friend. Alfonsina, she is Princess Katherine Tudor, King's sister. Ehm...which news, my dear?

"He asked curiously"

"I am honoured to meet you, Duchess." Smiling brightly "I hope we too can be friends!"
Beaming with happiness, she turns to Charles; "I have missed my course.." Looking at him with excitement! She can barely stand still with her joy.

"Charles took her hands in his still smiling"

You look so happy that you could even touch the sky, Katie. Has this beautiful news something to do with your marriage?

"He asked, staring at her eyes full of joy"

"I am a Queen and I carry my husbands heir....I couldn't be happier." Squeezes his hand gently.

"Charles's smile became gigger after her words"

Oh Katie! I'm so happy for you. This is really...a great news! Does your husband knows about it?

"He asked"

-Cat ran up to her fathers bedroom chamber and banged on the door loudly -

"Charles heard someone knocking at the door"

Yes?

"He said surprised"

It's mom she's crying and she won't let me in . -she looked up at him- i don't know i thought you could help me out -she frowns- i hate seeing mom upset-

"Charles frowned, showing a worried face"

Anna? What's happened to her? Please, darling...talk!

"He asked anxiously"

I don't know -she frowned- she wouldn't talk to me she won't even come out of her room . -Tears begin to build up in her eyes- oh dad i hate seeing her like this -she wraps her arms around- please do something she will listen to you.

"Charles wrapped his arms around his daughter and started caressing her hairs. He looked confused at Katherine and Alfonsina"

Please, sweetheart...calm down. I'll come to Anna right now. Is she still in her room?

"He asked, looking down at her"

-She nods her head- yeah she is still in her room -she sobs out- i've never seen mother like this before ... please father go speak to her i can't see her like this.

"Charles nodded"

Alright...Let's go to mom's room, then...

"He turned towards Katherine and Alfonsina"

My ladies...I ask you to forgive me. But...my family needs me, as you see. Hope to see you both later...

"He bowed at them and left the room with Catalina"

-Cat follows her father to her mothers room-

I have a servant deliver this note to His Grace:

There is a matter in which I need to speak to you about. It concerns your daughter Catalina. Please meet me on the Balcony just outside the Great Hall.

-Catalina barges through your bedroom door with a letter in her hand - father he is seeing another woman ! -she begins to sobs and gave you the letter saying-

Dearest Catalina,

What matters most in this moment is that you stay safe and healthy and give birth to our child without complications. If anything happened to either of you the I could not live with myself.
