I had received an invitation by Thomas Cromwell to join him for dinner one evening. I wasn't sure if it was just me joining him or there would be others joining us. I turned up a little early as I didn't want to keep Thomas waiting. I was let in by a servant and was asked to wait, and that Thomas wouldn't keep me waiting long.
