*They talk in the garden for a long time, she assures him God loves him and is not dissapointed with him, he will always be with him, helping him and taking care of him, always by his side, as she will always be too. She assures him there's nothing to forgive or to regret for, because they will never ever be aparted again, and all the time they spent separated was worthy to make their love even stongger and know that they are mean to be, they have to be together, loving each other eternally, forever and ever, as they've always done and always will do, everytime and everyplace. She tells him how much she loves and needs him, and what he means to her. Assures him he's everything and all she needs, she's the happiest ever , and they're the luckiest and most blessed ever for having each other. The air is colder and they go inside and get ready, when the sun is falling they leave Whitehall Palace, and in the evening they arrive to Jericho*
*They enter in their new house and they only find a table, some chairs and an old cooker. They haven'y got many things with them, just two trunks and some wooden boxes. She smiles to him and starts to imagine herself cooking there, and raising chickens and hens. She loves that life they will start, she only whishes to make him happy as he deserves. They walk with their arms entwined and enter in the bedroom, no bed is there, just a woolen mattress on the floor, a dusty empty bookcase and an old big wardrobe. She hugs him tightely and kisses his lips deeply, softly caressing his hair and back* we have got everything we need my dear Thomas, luckily we've brought the blankets and sheets I've made, and also all the bread and cakes I've prepared, the fruits, legumes, vegetables and wine we had in our kitchen, now we have to make our new kitchen an bedroom too *smiles to you, she wants you to feel as at ease as possible, she is happy with the new life, and knows together everything is possible, but she knows this is not the life you are used to* my love try to relax and get comfortable, I will arrange things in the kitchen and then I'll light some candles and bring here something to eat, I'll prepare our bed and we can have dinner here togehter *smiles to him and kisses him deeply with all her love once again*

Finally they arrive and inspect their new home, it has not been used for a long time and stuffy and humid, but he doesn't notice, his thoughts are still focussed on the yourney here, and especially the moment when a single rider followed them and approached them, handing him a special gift from the king, a ring they used to exchange at special, secret occasions, with a message which lightened his heart, a message of hope...
Joan talks cheerful and the few servants who came with them, act quietly and light the fireplaces, unpack their meager belongings and go to the kitchen to see if there is any food to prepare. He embraces her tenderly. 'My love, relax, all will be fine. Let us have a little wine together and then make our plans.' He walks around the room to see if there is any wine but then they hear sounds outside, people are talking and horses snorting. He takes Joan's hand and goes outside again, to their great surprise they see dozens of servants approaching the house, they all gather and bow deeply. George is in front of them and speaks on their behalf.
Your Eminence, we all are here to offer our services to you as we always have. Wolsey swallows of emotion and pulls Joan close against him. 'All of you are welcome, of course, I thank you all for your loyalty, but I must be honest to you. I guess I am not capable anymore to afford you all.' He looks at them with grattitude but before he can continue, George raises his hand and interrupts him.
'We see about that later, Your Eminence, for now, we are here to make you comfortable, with your permission.' He smiles and nods at the servants, who bow again and before he can respond they all pick up the tasks George already prepared them, some stay outside to remove weeds while others enter the house to tidy and clean it totally.
He is too overwhelmed and looks at George, but he only shrugs and smiles, then bows and enters the house, too. Inside they hear him giving orders and Wolsey turns to Joan. 'My love, I guess we are not abandoned after all, these loyal people came here out of their own free will.' He shakes his head and smiles vaguely while he kisses the palm of her hand. 'I dont think we can maintain them all, but I will make up for this, even though it costs me my last penny left. So much loyalty and devotion I have never seen before.... I think we can use a goblet of wine, now, my angel. Let us go inside and see if George was able to arrange a bottle.' He kisses her tenderly, still shivering of emotion and grattitude for the wonderful events after such a difficult retreat.

*She nods to him and kisses him, but when they're going to drink the wine sounds outside make them go out to see what happens. She is so suprised when she sees all the servants outside and George leading them, holds Thomas' hand tightely and when he talks so good about her beloved husband, when he says how much they admire Thomas and show how loyal they are she smiles of happiness and emotion, her eyes bright and some happiness tears fall from her them. *
*Rests her head on Thomas' arm and as soon as George finishes his speech she looks into her beloved's eyes and smiles widely* my dear Thomas this is a marvellous miracle ! everyone knows the great man you are, and I know we can't pay them all but if they're here is because they know they're doing the right things, they follow their feelings for you, and they are wise loyal people , they have dignity and they please to serve you, they are happy doing that, they feel protected and safe by your side, because you're the best man ever *smiles and caressing softly your cheeks kisses you deeply with all her love and happiness* This is a blessing my angel, I think we have to go inside and have dinner with all this good people, to thank them all for they huge loyalty to you and have a sincere talk with them, telling them about our situation, a situation they know for sure, and enssure ourselves this is what they really want
*Meanwhile they talk so happy with this wonderful surprise, servants have gone inside and started to arrange everything and make dinner, she kisses him deeply and smiles * Everything will be fine my love, you can see there's always a good reason to smile and love life, and you are mine, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH *still holding their hands they go inside and can smell the delicious food on the fire, smile happily and approach to George, who's with a bottle of wine*

He enters the house, holding Joan´s hand tightly in his and they sit down near the fireplace, the flames warm them and the smell of food makes him aware his stomach hurts. George opens the bottle and fills two goblets, bows and leaves the room. Wolsey smiles as he takes his goblet and notices the mud on his cloak. ´My love, look at me, my cloak is muddy. I guess it happened when I dismounted my mule and kneel on the ground in grattitude for the king´s gift! Ahh, yet I would do it again, even though the poor messenger had to kneel too.´ he grinns and winks at her. 'I hope I made up with him as I handed him my little golden chain... I had nothing else to give him and it meant so much to me. I also hope I pleased the king by sending my fool to him, I hope he will behave, even though it took six yeomen to make him go.'
His smile has disappeared and he frowns. 'I am very happy with this token of good-will of the king and also with the arrival of all our servants, but I have no clue of our financial state, I need to write Cromwell, beside my friend he is also my housekeeper, he will know what to do, my love.'
He finishes his wine and orders a passing servant gently to bring him a parchment and a quill, sets himself at a desk and starts to write.

*They enter and sit down next to the fireplace, looking at everyone around them making their chores. They thank George for the wine and Joan takes a sip from her goblet, she looks at Thomas' cloak and notices it's muddy and in that moment you tell her about it* ahh my love yes it is *she says touching it* don't worry my love, take it off and I will wash it tomorrow as soon as we'll get up *she smiles to him when he talks about the messenger and kisses his cheek sonorously* Ahhh yes my love, please don't worry, the king knows how much it means to you and deeply in his heart he knows the great loyal man you are, but he's a stubborn boy and now is acting like that, he has to ahhh *she sighs and softly strokes his hair* I love you sooo unmessurable much my dearest Thomas and always will be by your side, everytime, everyplace, everywhere, no matters what will happen, I will stay with you eternally *You talk about the finances and she nods* yes my love you should write to him, but don't worry too much for money, it comes and goes all the time.... *smiles to him tenderly with all her love and kisses his forehead sweetely* I will go to see if they need help with the dinner *stands up and kissing his head she goes to the corner where ladies are cooking letting him to write in peace*

Some days have passed, it is late in the evening as they sit together in their bedroom. It is a small room and easier to warm than the living room, and yet they wear a blanket around their shoulders because the small fireplace can´t warm their back. Wolsey stares into the flames, thoughtful, his arm around Joan so they warm eachother. No sound is heard but the crackling of the fire and they listen to the stormy weather outside, feeling the cold coming through the walls.
He looks at her beautiful profile and smiles. She still has the youthful appearance he fell in love with and her good mood lightens his days as ever. She is silent and he gently slides a hair strand back behind her ear. ´Where are you thinking about, my love? Are you still worrying about the people we received today who told us their sorrows? We supported them my angel, and gave them advice, but now you must let go or it keeps troubling your mind. I am happy though that we can receive people here, my angel, and live our lives together more openly than at court. And I am even more happy to share these moments with you, even though we no longer live as comfortably as we were accustomed.' He takes her cold hand in his and blows it warm, then kisses it tenderly.

*She cuddles against her beloved Thomas' body and they warm each other, meanwhile they hear the sound of the fireplace and rested in each other's arms enjoy they relaxing warm moment. She needs nothing but her love, her eternal one and only true twinflame, her most beloved in the Universe, her dearest Thomas. He's so divine, such a great wise kind man, the best man and husband ever, and he has her eternally surrended to him. Everytime he looks at her or pronounces a word he melts her like the first day he kissed her lips, she was almost a girl and her heart beated crazily, as it does all they time they are together, such divine happy moments, luckily they have eternity to be together loving and taking care of each other. You ask her what is she thinking about and she smiles looking deeply and tenderly into your eyes* Aww my love I was thinking about them indeed, but I know everything will be fine, I also like a lot they coming here, that means how much they love you and trust you, ahh and who won't? You are the best ever! *she kisses your lips softly and caresses your cheeks with love, then continues talking* I love this life we're starting here, is simple and sooo magical, everyday is like a new reborn, we don't know what it will bring to us and is so cosy and divine spending time here, doing simple home things and specially helping people, I gave two breads I made to a woman who hadn't got a dinner for her children, we haven't got many material things but is divine sharing what we have with those ones who have got less than us! Maybe we can continue helping them, I can cook more if that is necessary. And we don't need court luxury, ofcourse not, we can create our own wonderland wherever we go...
*she smiles and sits down on your lap, with her legs at both of your sides, caresses your chest softly and says* now my love I would like to give you everything I have and even more *winks to you and kisses you deeply, with all her love, sticking her body to yours*

He smiles as Joan looks him in the eyes and tells him her findings, pulling her even closer to him. 'Ahh my love, with you every day is a glorious day! I must confess I enjoy this simple life even more than I ever imagined. I feel close to the people and they really seem to like me. But the most I love the quietness, the stressless way of living, and the time I can spend with you, my beloved wife. Aww the people love you, you are so sweet, you would give away our last crumb and I love you for that!'
He kisses her back and puts his hands on hers, caressing her long fine fingers and kisses them one by one, then sucks them one by one. 'Our own wonderland.... is everywhere where we are!' he says as he helps her sit on his lap, the fire warms her back and he wraps his arms around her to kiss her long and deeply with all his love and passion. 'Mmmmm my generous lady, please give me everything you can miss...' he whispers on her lips, feeling her body against his and he looks penetrating into her eyes while he slowly slides up her skirts.

*You kiss my fingertips and I close my eyes enjoying the divine pleasure you cause on me, I kiss your neck softly and sigh softly in pleasure completely melted on your ear* I love you my divine Thomas, I love you so much, I will always do everything withing my power to make you happy as you and only you deserve and to protect you my love, I will give you everything and more forever ! *she sighs in pleasure and love and opens his nightgown softly, caressing his chest meanwhile they kiss each other with love and passion and become one under the warm blankets and sheets. They fall asleep entagled, very late in the night and have a divine pleasent soiree. They can rest and enjoy the quietness of their love and new cosy home as they haven't done in a long time. He moans softly while she talks to him and opens his nightgown. He slides up her skirts and when he reaches her waist, he lifts her in his arms, stands up and walks with her to their bed, falling on it together to love her as she deserves. 'Ahhh my love, my Joan, I love you, you make me the happiest alive, now let me make you happy, too!' he says sincerely and he loves her passionately and endlessly.
Hours later they rest in eachother's arms, he feels relaxed, he can get used to this life, simple, but meaningful in its simplicity, helping individuals instead of a whole realm and finally being together with his beloved Joan day and night instead of the moments they shared when he was not needed by anyone or some matter of state kept him busy. It is still dark as George awakes him gently, telling him there is a messenger of the king, claiming there are documents to be signed at once and they also collect the present yeoman warders.
He kisses Joan softly on her cheek, gets out of bed quietly and leaves the room to see what is happening. Some time later he returns to her bedroom, cold to the bone and he quickly gets back to bed. Joan lies on her side and he embraces her from behind, resting his forehead against her hair and closes his eyes again, though he is not tranquill at all.

*They love each other all night, when they're together they feel they reborn, they feel they're younger than ever, two children playing love, enjoying life with no worries. After hours of loving each other they fall asleep in each other's arms and rest peacefuly. She sleeps and doesn't notice you have got up and stayed a moment outside. You come back and join her and she sleeps even more peacefuly when she notices your body against hers. She wakes up an hour later and holds your hands in her belly, turns to look at you and hugs you tightely, you smile and she smiles too, kissing your lips she says* good morning to you my beloved Thomas! how did you sleep? *she notices you are worried and not relaxed as the last night, so she caresses your cheeks and asks you* what's the matter my love? is there somethng you would like to tell me? *hugs you tightely and shows you that you can trust her because you're lovers but also best friends, mean to be, to share good and bad things, to support each other facing everything together*

He slumbers, her even breathing and warm body calms him. When she awakes and turns around, he smiles and kisses the tip of her cold nose.
'Good morning to you, my wonderful wife. I slept well, my love, though I awoke early. I already heard two masses and said one myself.' He kisses her but she is not distracted and asks him what is on his mind.
He sigh and strokes her face. 'Actually, they woke me up in the midst of the night. Master Shelley was here, to tell me it has pleased the king to have my house, York Place, intending to make it a palace royal and to posses it according to the laws. He told me about justice, my love, and I told him about conscience, pointing him out that laws without conscience are no good, that is why the Court of Chancery is also called the Court of Conscience, because it has the jurisdiction to command the high ministers of the common law to spare execution and judgment, where conscience hold most effect....'
He smiles faintly. 'Of course I signed the documents, my angel, asking him to tell the king I am his most obedient subject, faithfull chaplain and beadman, whose royal commandment and request I will in no wise disobey but most gladly fullfill and accomplish his princely will, as the judges say I may lawfully do it. I discharged my conscience and charged his, my love, though I most humbly begged him to call to the king's remembrance that there is both heaven and hell.'
He swallows and bites his lips. 'So he went away with my written approval... and also took six yeoman warders from our household with him, all to be placed into the king's service.' He embraces her and rests his forehead against hers.
'I have this feeling this is only a start, my love. And I also think none of this is Henry's true desire... he is prompted by my enemies, they are still after me.'

*She realizes something happened and asks you for that. You start to talk and she hugs you tightely listening atentively*
Aww my beloved Thomas in the midst of the night? so unproper they're and you're so wise and loyal, those men and the king himself not only need your former house, they need to learn about life and values with you, they only follow the law when it is on their beneffit, and if not, they want to change it ahhh *she kisses you * forgive me for talking so muuch but those men, I can't stand them and you are such a great man and have to tolerate them. But you are so wise and smart and what you've done is perfectly right! you've always been loyal and hard working and his conscience is too heavy I am sure my love, meanwhile yours is luckily light and you can have a paceful dream every night , and have many people loving you, like those ones who come here asking for your help and wise word, but specially me, forever and ever you have me to love you, accompany you and face everything together !
You always do the best my love, you'll see everything will go fine, you've always served the king very well and always have been loyal to him, let's continue like this, your conscience is quiet and clean and he will see you've always talked the truth, you do everything in your power, now is his resposibility my beloved one *she caresses his cheeks softly and kisses him deeply, rests her forehead on yours and strokes your hair* I LOVE YOU SO MUCH, YOU AREN'T ALONE, WE'RE TOGETHER IN EVERYTHING FOREVER AND EVER AS ONE, ENEMIES IN OUR WAY OR NOT WE'LL FACE EVERYTHING TOGETHER !

He rearranges the sheets that have slipped away while she turned to him and hugs her gently, smiling vaguely as her sweet presence and words always make him at ease. 'Yes, my love, I have always been loyal and always will be, if it pleases him I will give him everything - but you, my angel!' He smiles and kisses her with all his love. 'Ahh, that man wanted to teach me a lesson, but in the end I hope I made it clear to him that they have to act as his conscience and not only perform the law as they interpret it.' He shakes his head, thoughtfull.
'It is easy to just obey the king, but the challenge is to make him want things which are true and good for the realm, not only now but also in the future. I worry, my love, I worry about him and about the kingdom.'
He bites his lips while thinking. 'I know there are good men around him, I must let go... but it is hard to step aside in these circumstances, there is so much at stake! What about the ueen, what about princess Mary, what will happen next? And there is nothing I can do anymore!'
He finds himself getting too concerned again and sigh deeply, caressing her cheeks. 'Well, my love, things are how they are, we can do nothing but go on like we do now. I am so glad that Cromwell came to see me, he is a loyal and trustworthy friend. He promised me to come back soon and bring his wife Elizabeth, I thought you would like that, my love... you and her have a lot in common, I guess.' He chuckles and winks at her, still stroking her face. 'Mmm, even now we can't stay in bed all day my angel, let's get up and have breakfast together before our first guests for today will arrive.' He makes no attempt to get up, though, instead he nestles against her and sniffs her wondrous smell.

*Caresses your back with love and talks* to be loyal and fair as you are and always have been is not an easy task my love, specially not easy at all for those men, they think they're strong but they're weak indeed...and for the king and the Kingdom, it is normal you to worry about it my beloved Thomas, I understand you, just don't let all this matters suck all your energy, I need them for me too* smiles and kisses you again*...and for Queen Catherine and Princess Mary, unfortunately there's nothing we can do indeed, but you have your conscience quiet knowing you've never betrayed them, you've always been a good servant for them too, as much as you could, everyday you gave all your best, and isn't that enough? living each day doing the best we can, being loyal with those ones who are in our way....ahhh you're the best man ever I love you so much !

'You, heavy my love?' he smiles and rolls her on his chest. 'Let me feel... mmm I think not, I even think you lost some weight, did you?' he tickles her and squeezes softly her arms, her waist and her buttocks, then embraces her and kisses her lips with all his love. 'If the king had a woman like you he would not look elsewhere my angel, just like me, I never had eyes for anyone else but you!'
He strokes her long hair while she talks to him, nodding in agreement when she tells him not to let suck all his energies. 'I know, my love, I know, the whole situation took me more energies than I could guess before, I never felt lack of energies, but ever since the divorce came up, I grew more and more tired. Luckily you are here, you give me my energies back, mmmm I think I suck them from you my love!! he tells her, grinning, while he kisses the tip of her nose. Her words comfort him as ever and he knows he can't do more now - except writing some people...
'And I love you, my Joan, more than you will ever know.' he says while he holds her head in his hands, smiling at her excited face. 'Ah, no, my love, you don't have to cook yourself! Our official cook is still here, he insisted to make all the meals, not only for us but also for our guests. You only have to be your wonderful and beautiful self and act as a hostess, together with me.' he smiles and looks deeply into her eyes while she opens his nightgown and sigh deeply as she kisses his chest. 'Aww, you seduce me every time!' he moans softly while he caresses her shoulders and kisses her warm neck.

Ofcourse I haven't lost weight my love, at my age I only can stay like this, only not eating I would lose weight, but you know I will never ever stop eating, because I will never ever stop eating, devouring you alive *giggles as you tickle her and tickles you kissing your lips and nose* aww is not a problem of woman my love, the problem is him, he is not faithful as you are, I know my love, I thank you so much, you're the best man and lover ever *kisses you with all her love*
My love it is obvious you worried for every matter at court, and that talks very good about you, that shows how dedicated and loyal you are and always have been, but I think when all that mess starts to attack your health and demands you to do things against your own values, maybe it is better to take a little distance of that crazyness, I know it is difficult but maybe all this situation is not too bad, all those men who now accompany the king aren't doing good things and we know that very well...
So I haven't got to cook my love? aww is ok, but there's really no problem if I have to , I love doing that, specially to see your divine expression when you enjoy my food *giggles and bite your cheek softly* I love you more you know that, I will accompany you so proudly and never ever apart from you I sware *whispers on your ear as you feel her warm breath* mmm do I seduce you? all the time? awww I think you are the one and only who's tempting and divine here *starts to caress all your chest softly and kisses your warm neck softly and sweetly* mmmm there's no horry to gt up I think my love *kisses more and more your neck aparting your nightgown and caressing your chest, arms and back*

´Not eating my love, no, I would never let you stop eating, and specially not eating me hahaha!´ He tickles her more and more and then embraces her tightly. ´I can´t understand men who want someone else, when they have a wonderful wife... like you! It is not hard to be faithfull to you, no one is as sweet and beautiful and wise as you, my love!´he says between their kisses.
He frowns and bites his lips. ´I can´t let go, Joan, I just can´t... I foresee many troubles and I am not used to not interfere, I can´t do nothing when I see my king, my country is facing hard times, I feel so useless, while he needs me the most in his troubled mind, my love!´ He rubs his chin, shaking his head. ´I don´t care my health, I don´t care a thing as long as I know he is at ease and on good terms with all royals and rulers around us, including the Pope! He still needs guidance even though he might think he can do all by himself!´
He looks at her in despair but her smoothing voice and attitude calms him and brings him back to the moment and he smiles faintly. ´You will often have to cook, my love, but not today! I expect two landlords from the neighborhood, I heard they fight about their borders and I plan to keep them here untill they have settled their feud! I need your sweet and calming affection to prevent them to fling the plates, my angel!´ He kisses her cheek and softly bites her earlobe. ´Aww yes, you seduce me all the time! And that is the good thing, my love, we have more time for eachother!´ he smiles and pulls her on his chest, touching her chin with his fingertip and glides it down along her neck untill he reaches the top of her nightgown, loosening the ribbons slowly while he kisses her deeply with all his love and passion for her.

Aww my love I am not all those wonderful things you talk about me but I am so glad you think that, and you are divine and faithful yourself, and none of those awful men can even be compared with you. I know you can't let all this mess go, you know the best for the king and for our country, you've always worked for this and thanks to your good guide and advices England has achieved many good things, and then is not your blame if you can't pick the moon, and I am sure the king knows that. Now we can just pray and you can let the king know you will always be at his service if he needs you, as you've done my love...ahhh I guess the worse for your health is not to keep you informed about these troubles, so love, write as much letters as you can, I support you and you have many important people who haven't forgotten you, just promise me you will always take care, I need you with me for Eternity and beyond and if something bad would happen to you I would never be able to survive *kisses you deeply with all her love showing you how much she needs you*
oh my love two landlords? aww you see, if they come here is because they know who you are and they trust their problems and important matters to you, I will help you to keep the peace ofcourse my dear, and if you need something else just tell me, but now I don't want to keep the peace with you at all *giggles teasingly and kisses your neck, looks into your eyes totally in love and caresses your cheeks tenderly* I am so glad we have more time to be together, awww I only want your happiness and I love when I see you happy with work, and I will always be by your side, I just beg you to take care forever and ever....*smiles tenderly and kisses you more and more , caressing your hair, you open her nightgown and she opens yours more and more, caressing your now warm skin and sticks her body more to yours*

For some months they live in Jericho House in relatively peace and happiness, receiving many guests and enjoying a quiet life together. But enenies never sleep and his still close presence to the king make them force Henry to send him farther away from court so his infuence decreases further. They receive an urgent message, telling them they have to move at once to Yorkshire as the king pleases. Lack of money forces them to go there only by themselves, all servants and yeamon warders are included in the king and Norfolk's household since they are well-educated and work quietly with love. Only George and a few other servants accompany them to their new home at Yorkshire.

"Charles was ordered by the King himself to arrest Wolsey. Followed by some guards, He reached his residence and entered suddenly in his chambers. He found him lying on bed, with his mistress. The guards came quickly towards him, in order to force him to stand up"
"Don't move! In King's name! Stand up!"
"They shouted. Charles walked in with firm steps and looked at the Cardinal"
Thomas Wolsey! In King's name, you are in arrest with accusation of high treason! You will be leaded to London, where you will be precessed!

Wolsey was finally asleep, after making love with Joan almost all night as if he felt it was their last night together, he could not sleep, he almost never slept anymore, in daytime he was busy enough and the company of Joan kept his good cheers, but at night his fears were worse than ever, he knew his enemies would never allow him to live in peace, even far away from court they still feared him and would not rest untill he was utterly destroyed.
Sounds outside woke him up, he reached for Joan but before he could touch her he was taken out of the bed by force and stoud next to it, held by the guards.

Joan embraced him and he could feel her trembling. He held her close. 'Well, well, Joan....' he said calmly and comforting. 'No tears for me, I beg you.' He tried to smile.
Gently he loosened her arms from his neck and tenderly put a hand on her cheek. 'Please forgive me, for you have not much to remember me by...' he said softly but his voice broke and he just stared into her eyes, not able to continue to speak.

*She can't stop crying, they can't take him away and apart him from her arms, everything is so unfair. He talks and she holds his face for last time between her hands, looks deeply into his eyes* No! I have a whole life and all that it entails to remember you *holds his face tightely against hers and kisses his forehead as long as she can*
