The Tavern

Juan walked into the tavern. He was expecting to see his brother Cesare, but he wasn't there. "It looks like I am the one who came earlier this time" he thought. Juan ordered a glass of wine and leaned on the wall next to him. He could not stop thinking about what he learned these days."I might drink more tonight,all these thoughts are killing my mind" he said to himself.

Cesare finally got to the tavern to have a talk with his brother.He brought with him his new steal sword to show it to Juan.He wasn't sure he would drink much this night,but after so much work in the daytime,an ale would be the perfect break.

Juan saw his brother walk into the tavern. "Ha! It seems that I am here first!" laughed Juan. "You will be the one who is paying tonight. Boy,three more glasses of ale for me,please!" said Juan to the servant.

"I would pay if it has to be done so.But you know my brother,ale's never enough.One has to stay sober to be helpful for the other one." he said,laughed and added "I guess we will challenge each other to see who would get more drunk."

"I will win,brother! You know that! Unless you want to be the winner this time! I would gladly remise you this 'so honored' place" laughed Juan as the servant was serving the ale. "You see the three glasses in front of you,Cesare? I challenge you to drink them all at once!" said Juan with a wicked smile on his face.

Cesare grinned looking at his brother. "I accept your challenge,brother.But I would like to challenge you with drinking 3 glasses of wine all at once." he said and told the servant to bring the glasses. "May I ask what  prize is going to be given to the winner?I guess the loser would be the one to take the winner home."

"And the loser owes the winner 20 shillings!Deal?" said Juan and reached for his brother's hand.

She hasn't seen her brothers for a long time and she found out where they were going to be that night. It was a good night to have some chat with relatives. So , she got dressed and went to the tavern in Essex. She opened the door and the first thing she saw was her brothers. Her blonde hair was falling down on her shoulders. She went near them quietly.

"What a lovely view!"

She smiled.

"Deal!" said Cesare and winked agreeing.He wasn't sure how much money he had at the moment,but they might be enough.He was still looking at his brother's face when he heard a familiar voice.That was Alfonsina.Cesare couldn't hide his exitement.He stood up and approached his sister to give her a big hug.

She smiled when she saw Cesare. It was that time she remembered how handsome and charming he was. They hugged each other tightly.

"Dear brother! It has been a long time."

She said with a soft voice by thinking what had happened between them before.

Juan was surprised to see Alfonsina in such a place like this tavern. He stood up to hug his sister, but she was still hugging Cesare. She has definitely missed her brother, but something about that hug disturbed him. He cleared his throat to interrupt them.

When Alfonsina heard Juan's voice , her smile got bigger. She hugging Cesare and turned to Juan. There was always something between Alfonsina and Juan. They couldn't be so much close but Alfonsina loved her brother anyway. She gave him a big hug too.

"I don't even remember the last time I saw you brother.."

She said to Juan.

"It was long time ago,sis. I didn't expect you to come here. I am very glad that you came" said Juan and smiled. "We were about to play a drinking game, right Cesare?" added Juan, laughing.

"Right my brother and guess who will be the winner?" he said with a challenging smile on his face. "Come and sit with us,Alfonsina.I shall order a glass of wine for you rightaway." he said and pointed her the place beside him.

Alfonsina smiled to Juan.

"I am glad to be here too dear brother."

Then she raised her eyes. Obviously it would be an interesting contest and she would love to watch it. She giggled.

"We'll see it . I am excited , when will you start?"

Then she smiled to Cesare to thank for the wine.

"Right away! Drink,Cesare! No, no, let us drink together! In one...two...three!" said Juan and drank all the wine at once.

Cesare quickly rose his glass up to drink from it and after drinking all of its content he fiercely banged the glass on the table and victoriously exclaimed."DONE!"

Juan felt a bit dizzy from drinking the wine so fast. "You know what, Cesare? You are the best brother!" he laughed while drinking another glass of wine. "Should we bet more?"

"My brother wants to mislead me just to be the winner." Cesare said,grinned ironically and then added."I would accept to continuing with our bets...unless you've already lost your willinges."
