Eleanor thought it would be fun to attend the Autumn party, having returned to court two fortnights ago. She entered the Great Hall and sought a goblet with red wine and sipped from it and found it was agreeable to her taste. She saw her brother Charles across the room from her and saw him looking at Lady Nan then to his pupil Lady Catherine. She hoped to talk to him and to be introduced to Lady Nan, she seemed like the kind of woman Eleanor would get along with.
"Charles clapped his hands after King's announcement. He noticed Alfonsina talking with a man, never seen before. But surely it wasn't her husband. She looked completely healed from her illness and he felt happy to see that. He looked around and saw Nan glancing at Anne, while his pupil Catherine entered in the Hall. He was going to approach her, while his sister came closer to him"
Eleanor! I hoped to find you here. You look great, tonight...

Eleanor clapped after His Majesty spoke and took a sip of wine. She saw everyone merry around her and it was infectious. She smiled to Charles when he addressed her.
"Charles! Thank you, you look very handsome tonight. I hoped to see you as well. How do you fare?"
She asked his, curiously.

Perhaps you are right, he admitted. He folowed her glance to the king's table and saw him and Anne in private, lovers conversation. He wanted the same for him and Margaret. What do you say, shall we dance? It will get the blood flowing. Plus you in that gown, you are too beautiful to just stand here with me, he grinned.
She looked at him and blushed a little, smiling happily. "Thank you, Henry, you flatter me with your compliments! I would love to dance with you." She answered him, enjoying her time with him.
He smiled and took her hand, leading her out to the floor among the other couples. A slow song began, its rhythm sensual and coy. He blushed again but was glad he knew this dance already. He took Margaret in his arms, slowly turning in a half-circle in time with the music. He looked into her eyes, suddenly aware only of her as they entwined during the dance.

Alice's eyes widened as the woman introduced herself. "Oh Your Highness, you must sit please!" She stood to allow a space next to her for Margaret to be seated. "I have indeed heard of you in reports from my husband, in which he spoke most highly of you, your grace. Please, tell me your opinion on the English court. You have traveled quite a ways." She smiled, glad to have another to talk to.
Margaret smiled warmly as she sat down next to her. It is so nice to meet you at last, your husband spoke so often of you in loving words, lady Alice. He travelled a lot, and so did I, yes. I love to come to the English court, people are hearty and I feel welcome at this lively, open court with its many festivals, so different from my own court. May I congratulate you with your husbands appointment to Lord Chancellor, I think he will do a great job. she said sincerely.
"It is an honor to meet you my lady. I am so happy my husband has said nice things of me, I can only say wonderful things of him," she cast a loving glance in Thomas's direction. "I have to boast that we English know how to welcome guests and to have a merry time. I hope you feel quite at home here, for the duration of your stay." She nodded and smiled happily when Margaret mentioned Thomas's new rank. "I am so very proud of him, his work is demanding and we do not get to see very much of him, but he makes time to spend with his family. For him, it is an honor to serve the king. But he also keeps in mind his faith in God," she added.
She looked up when she heard the king announce Princess Cordelia's birthday. She smiled widely at her pupil, looking lovely and festive for the night. She would have to remember to give her the birthday gift.

But Margaret was such a graceful woman, it would be impossible for her to make a mistake in the dance. When she spun the skirt of her dress brushed against him, her perfume reached him and tingled his senses. Nothing else existed for him. At last the dance ended and the king made his announcement of Princess Cordelia. Henry applauded for the girl, and glanced at Margaret.
