Royce Westmoreland's bedchamber

I walked through the castle hall to Royce's chamberes.The last time I saw him he looked sad because his brother was not with him and now when King James and his family is here at court,he surely miss his brother even more.So I just wanted to see if he was alright.I took a deep breath and softly knocked on his door.

I walked inside,with a little smile on my face.As I entered I noticed that he was lying on the bed ,looking at the door with surprised expression on his face.

''Your Grace,I am sorry for disturbing you....I just wanted to see you,but since you are resting maybe is better for me to leave and come later.''

I said,looking around the room.

I walked to the sofa and sat down,smoothing my dress behind me.Then I looked up at him,smiling slightly.

''Some wine, if you may''

I said putting my hands on my lap.

He brought me the goblet and I nodded thankfully.

''Thank you''

I said as I took a sip from my goblet.When I was done, I placed the goblet on the small table in front of me. Then I looked up at him and placed my hand gently upon his and said

"I was so worried about you and now it makes me feel so much better that you are alright...I do know how much you miss your brother and with King James and his family here at court,you probably miss him even more...I guess what I am trying to say is that you are not alone. I will be here with you. I know I cannot take the place you have in your heart for your brother, but I wanted to let you know that you have someone here with you as well. "

I removed my hand from his and rest my hand upon my lap.

''Me? I am fine considering what has been happening to my brother and sister.You know I wanted to go to church and pray but since I have not spoken to God often, I do not think He even knows who I am. So I did not go.''

I said looking away.

I nodded and forced a small smile on to my face.

'I still like to believe that I am good christian...I do not have any particular reason I just stop believing...I guess I just need something good to happen to make me believe again.''

I answered while I played with the red sleeve of my gown.

I looked at him and saw perplexed expression on his face.I knew that my words would confused him as they confused me as well.

''You may ask me anything you want,my lord...Yes I think it is because of my sister's illness.Maybe because I already lost my brother and now I fear that I will lose my sister too''

I answered sadly.

I sighed deeply,nodding softly.

''Yes maybe there is hope for her...''

I frowned slightly at his words.I never thought about the consequences if someone finds out that I was not believer anymore.

''I never thought how dangerous it will be for me if someone finds out,but still I can not belive in something just because of my brother or because of reformers no metter how dangerous it is for me...Anyway I never told anyone about this except to you.And I can trust you...Can I?

I asked as I looked up at him,waiting for his answer.

I was silent for some time.I was deep in my thoughts,thinking about his words.Then I sighed deeply and said.

''I believe that deep down in me I still believe in God.I just need to make myself to go to church and to remind myself how peaceful and how comforting it is to be there and be able to speak to God and feel his presence...''

I looked up at him and forced a small smile on to my face.

''Then maybe this is the solution for you to escape from this marriage, and perhaps marry someone whom you choose...After all who would like to be married to someon who is so confused and who doesn't know in what to believe any more''

I sighed deeply,nodding softly.

''I know that you never said anything like that...What I mean...''

I paused for a moment then I continued to speak.

''This is arranged marriage and if my brother didn't decided for us to get married you would hardly chosen me.And I doubt that you never thought if you could somehow escape from this and marry someone you like''

I looked up at him and added.

''Now when I learn so much about you I know that you deserve to be happy and the last thing I want for you to be unhappy all your life just because of my brother.That is all''

I was looking down,listening carefully as he spoke.When he finished I looked up at him and placed my hand gently upon his

''But you deserve such honour...You are great man and you showed that in many occasions.Even if you are not noble by birth you deserve this as much as any prince or even a king''

I said in a soft voice,smiling.

I noticed that he wants to change the topic so I didn't say anything about it anymore Ijust nodded.

''My sister?She say that she is now better,but notice that she is still very pale...Maybe she was just tired,any way I hope that she didn't told me that she is better just because she don't want for me to worry''

I replied to him,looking around the room.

I nodded,looking up at him as he touched my hand.

''I am sure that you will and I will try as well to show you my love,respect and to make you happy...Now your Grace if you will excuse me,I think that is time for me to go and leave you to rest.''

I said and stood up,smiling softly.
