Henry watched her kissing his hand and smiled. Anne was so beautiful. He couldn't wait to marry her and having a son from her. For a moment he almost forgot about cards. But he put down three cards on the table and looked at Anne

I noticed your weird expression when you saw the cards, my love. I know you love this game. But you looked..almost scared. Is everything alright?

He asked. Now he knew Anne very well. And she could hide nothing from him

Henry was putting down the cards on the table, but he stopped after Anne's words. He raised his eyes to her

A bad joke? Who dares making bad jokes to you?

He grabbed her hand suddenly

"When we returned from our walk, I found the cards on my desk. It was.. a book of prophecy.. The King's card, The Queen's card and myself.. with my head cut off.."

He smiled weakly and kissed her hand, hoping to reassure her. Now he just wanted to protect her

Anne suprised. She opened her eyes bigger and bigger. Marchioness of Pembroke! She was rising and no one could stop her. She was moving forward to being a Queen step by step. Her eyes flashed.

And once you'll be created Marchioness, we'll leave to France! Francis can't wait to see you again, my beloved. It has been a long time since you and your sister were ladies in waiting at french court..

He smiled and kissed her hand with love. He wanted that Anne's raising was without obstacles

Now..no one can be an obstacle to our happiness, my love. Katherine is at Kimbolton Castle, Charles is banished and he'll leave Palace in few days. Thomas More..well, he is busy with Mary Rose's babies Christening in Scotland. So we have all the time to arrange our ceremony..

He smiled at the thought that for once, his Chancellor's mind was busy in something else. But he became serious again

But..unluckily not everyone are happy like we are, Anne. My sister Katherine came back to court from Navarre. Her husband died suddenly. She is..really upset and with a little daughter to raise alone. So..treat her with softness and kindness..
