Anne looked at the King for a moment to see his reaction

Whispers has finished. Now everyone was talking loudly. Katherine has also been unsettled. Anne was declared biblical whore by this impertinent monk in front of everybody. She frowned irritably.

"Thank you..." Rising gracefully from my seat, I try to appear serene. "...you're very kind." It was however in vain. I'd never seen a priest...a man of God treated in such a way. Taking his arm, I smile graciously and acknowledge all the courtiers attending Mass. I was a Princess of England and Henry was my King...whether I didn't agree with the incident in the  Chapel, I had to live by his laws; however uncomfortable that may be or become.

Geoffrey smiled at Katherine

Your Highness, we must leave Chapel now. It could be dangerous. Please follow me, I'll escort you until your Chambers..

Then he turned towards the King and Lady Anne, still holding Katherine's arm. People was still talking loudly. And he noticed Thomas Cromwell following the monk outside Chapel. He was surely threatening him

Your Majesty..Lady Boleyn, I must ask you to follow me as well. That's not safe here..

"Thank you...." Nodding, I smile weakly at him and then glance at my brother; waiting for him to react. Still trying to appear serene and calm, underneath; I was panicked and scared.
Speaking softly, I bite my bottom lip in an attempt to stop it trembling. "Please, Henry..."

Henry glanced at the monk for the last time. He was speechless. But he was sure that Cromwell would take care of this absurd situation. He was very persuasive with traitors. Taking Anne's hand in his he stood up and looked at Katherine. She looked very scared

Don't worry, sister. Everything is under control. Everything..

He replied slowly and thoughtfully. Then he smiled weakly at Anne and followed Geoffrey outside Chapel holding Anne on his arm

Anne was very angry and she was shocked. She looked at Henry

"Who is that man? How could he talk like that?"

Henry was walking outside Chapel with Anne at his arm. People was still shouting. He looked at Anne

Don't care about him, my love. He is surely one of Katherine's supporters. But his foolish words won't stop me and you will be my Queen! Cromwell will take care..he will be punished..

He added glancing at Chapel again. He was shocked too even if he tried to hide this from Anne. Such a thing never happened before in his court

Having just arrived at court; I was naturally expected not to be very well versed in courtly behaviour. Indeed, I was a veritable child walking into a place of jewels and dukes and dances.

The one thing I did know was that rumours spread quicker than wild fire. I presumed it would be best to make any rumours about me as positive as possible-a pious, young countess. So with pearl rosary beads, which had rarely been out of their box-I took a seat in a pew.

Margery had heard from the viscous gossipers at court. That the very meek and mild Elizabeth Patmore had returned to us at court. Always the one to never judge a person Margery made her way to the little chapel.

For awhile she just watched Elizabeth in silence not wanting to disturb her. With gently foot steps Margery approached her.

Hello Elizabeth.

I had been fumbling absent mindedly with my beads for what felt like an eternity. I was forcing myself to stay for at least twenty minutes, although I knew I was probably not even half way there.

I heard footsteps-at least I had then witness to my character. I brushed my hands down my skirt, arranging the fabric carefully and twisting a loose hair around my finger.

Someone then spoke to me, they knew my name. I glanced up, rather shocked.

"Hello..."I replied, unsure who she was.

Margery sat in the pew behind her crossing her hands in her lap. She spoke to Elizabeth very gently like coaxing a child out from it's hiding place.

Do not fear me Elizabeth I come to you as a friend not a foe. Tis nice to see you back at court. You have returned at the most perfect timing.

Margery smiled warmly to her.

I smiled to myself, slightly unsure. I did not know her, she seemed kind and very pretty-but I was sure I would remember such a woman.

"Madam, please forgive me. I cannot remember you, have we met before?"

No need to apologize Elizabeth. We haven't actually met until now. But the your name does sound familiar. Are you friendly with the Seymours as they are my family

She smiled kindly to her so she would know that Margery posed no threat to her.

I nod, with a smile-glad to know she is from a most kind family, "The Seymours are lovely. I believe Wolfhall is a good day's journey from my home but I think we have hosted each other as guests before. I am so sorry for not realising."

I paused and took in her appearance, suddenly with clarity looking up her with familiarity and feeling like a forgetful fool. I grinned warmly, "Heavens...you must be Margery! Am I correct?"

My mother used to host dinners for other families when my father was working away. They were always local folk. Where abouts are you from.

Margery tried to think if she had seen other members of this ladies family. Her eyes grew when she reconized just who exactly she was.

Yes that is me.. then again I am easy to remember. I am the only one with ginger hair in my family.

I chuckled, "Indeed! And, may I remark, one of the most graceful. I remember it now...trying to walk in a similar regal fashion and subsequently tripping on the hem of my skirts."

I smile and covered my lips as I sighed wistfully, "I think you may have even visited when..."

I glanced down and for the first time held my rosary beads with true intention, "When my mother was alive. Of course I would have been only a child then."

Margery relaxed in her company laughing a bit to loudly for a chapel. I am not graceful! I think I appear so as I have morals and that can give a lady confidence.

Margery could remember Elizabeths' mother. For some unknown reason Margery always found other mothers endearing. I am sure your mother would of been very proud of you. Take heart dear one and be rest assured that she is always with you.

I smiled at Margery, truly glad to be so lucky to have met one such as her!

"You are far too kind. I have no doubts that she watches over me always. Anyway," I said, and promptly changed the subject, "How do your family fare? There are so many of you if I remember correctly."

My family? Hmm Margery thought. A lot of things had happened perhaps it would be best to start from the beginning.

Elizabeth is married to a Russian count and will be a mother any day now. Edward is to marry Anne Stanhope, have you heard of her? Thomas is also marrying a lady in waiting of Katherine Aragon. Dorothy is well Dorothy. The family did have their own secret but it was one they didn't want people knowing. It would cause Edward grief and at the best of times remaining silent was best course.

I grinned, "Oh that is wonderful! I am so happy them. I haven't heard of this...Stanhope girl."

I tilted my head, my hair tumbled over my should. I winked and asked mischievously, "Why? Is there some terrible scandal?"

Margery laughed indulgently resting her elbow on the pew. Scandal? Why no lady Stanhope cares much about the Seymour family name.

Scrunching up her eyes Margery pursed her lips her tongue licking the sides off her lips. My father caused a scandal but we do not speak off it. I know that you yourself knows how bad scandal among courtiers can be... damaging.

I smiled, "Well indeed, I think us both most lucky to have never been personally touched by any rumours."

I winked and touch the frame of the pew in front, "Touch wood. And, I hope Edward is very happy to be with such a...kind girl, I always thought him very handsome when I was younger. They are both very lucky."

Margery rested her chin in both off her hands whilst she continued to converse with her old friend. Edward! Really.. All the ladies seemed to like Thomas. When it comes to love I shall let you in on my own misfortunes.

Margery leaned in closer to her friend whispering subtly into her ear. I find it most alarming that I am not in the least bit interested in having a beloved. I care more for my duty than I do myself. What must that say off me.

I giggled, perhaps too loudly for being in chapel, "Indeed. He was older than me and seemed so learned."

I then patted her hand, "Hush now. It says nothing of you. You are young and beautiful-there's no rush. Indeed, I think it admirable that you should be so resolute in making decisions that you are comfortable with."

Margery looked at her with confusion on her face. She didn't want any scandal to become to her family. I don't think Edward has ever taken a mistress, he is not stupid to tarnish the family name. He has lady Stanhope they are suited to each other.
