"Before leaving french court, Charles decided to visit mademoiselle Brigitte, even if it was night. He knocked at her door"

Mademoiselle...may I come in?

I was sitting by the fire in my nightgown when I heard the knock at my door.I quickly take my cloak and drape it over my shoulders.

''Come in please...''

"Charles entered in the room and bowed with a smile. He looked at her, thinking how beautiful she was in her nightgown"

I'm sorry...mademoiselle Brigitte. I didn't want to disturb you. But I'll leave court tomorrow, and I can't leave without greeting you...

"He said with a charming smile on his face"

I smiled to him and curtsey.

''Your Grace...''

I said softly than looked at him supprised.

''Oh that is very nice from you,your Grace...I'm truly flattered...Please sit down,your Grace''

I said, pointing to the chair.

''May I offer you something to drink?''

"He shook his head and came closer with a smile. Then raised softly her chin and looked into her eyes"

There is no need. I am...admired by your beauty, mademoiselle. And I can't leave court...without doing this...

"Then he leaned on her and kissed softly her lips. He looked at her surprised face and smiled again"

"He whispered. Then he detached from her slowly and reached the door. He turned towards her once more time, smiled and left the room"

I felt his hand gently touch my chin,slowly and gently lifting my gaze up to his face.Before I could say anything ,he leaned forward and kissed softly my lips.I looked at him supprised with little smile on my face.

''Goodbye,your Grace''

I said softly and smiled to him as he left the room.

I was sitting on my window seat back home. I had always loved the way the sunlight filtered into my room above my cozy spot.I sighed deeply thinking of my father and how much I wish to be at home.Then I took a book from the table and started to read.

There is a slight chill in the evening air. I take a book from my shelf and sit close to the fire. 'Much better--she says more to herself' and begins to read.

It is a beautiful afternoon, and since Queen Claude has allowed her to be excused for a little while, she decides to take a stroll through the gardens.

The night is restless...sleep forsakes me...my mind filled with thoughts I can't seem to shake away. What am I to do (thinks to herself)?

There's a chill in the night air... I sit closer to the fire for some warmth but to no avail. I still crave a different kind of warmth...the warmth of her former home, the warmth of her Father...that kind of warmth that sets deep inside your very core. *Then sadness begins to overwhelm me...and loneliness sets in*
