A small picnic ? well I think that it's too cold for doing a true picnic outdoor, but we can do a kind of small picninc here if you want to. And It's depend on what you call a small picnic, what would you like to eat or drink if we make one ?

It's what I thinked to do. I am going to command it.
She get up and call for her maid, then command her the picnic, the maid nodd, courtsey and leave.
Emilie join again the couch, sat and turn to Mary.
It's should arrive soon since there isn't anything to cook for her. Are you hungry ?
Then, she glance to her daughter with soft eyes, then she look upper to the garden through the windown that is snowyand sigh, then turn again to Mary.
The garden is pretty with this snow, but it give me no envy to go outdoor, it's make me feel as if we was yet in winter. I so much feel the cold that I could spend all the winter to hibernate indoor and don't go out again before wind !

Anyway, you hadn't to feel forced to eat more than you want by politeness, take only what you want, I will not be offended at all. I will not eat very much either.

In fact, I don't really love winter, it's even the season that I like the less, because I hate to be cold. The only things that I like in this season, are the feats of christmas and new years that give back some light, warmess and joy to people in the heart of winter and for the beautiful landscapes that snow and ice make. But I do like it only from indoor at look through the window while being at warm under my quilt or before the chimney !

I think that many people feel like that at Winter, it's beautiful and at the same time, it's seem that the nature is death and everyone look for some warmess and light when it's so cold ! Anyway, I hope that it will be a beautiful winter, with much snow but not too cold !
The door open and the maid enter the room, carrying a trail with a bottle of wine, a bottle of apple juice, three goblets a bowl of hot milk and some delicacies, fruits and cookies, and three plates, she put it on the table. Emilie smile in seeing Olympe rushing to the table and sat to a chair, the servent starting to serve her in food and drink.
Someone seem to look forward eating, so I think it's time to join too !
She turn to the maid and tell that she can go, she nodd and leave the room.

She smile at her, get from the couch and join the table, sitting by her daughter's side, seeing her drinking her milk and smile to her with a moustache of milk around her mouth, she giggle and stroke her cheek, then as Olympe start to eat, she turn to Mary and ask her.
I have get some wine for you, I hope that it will please you.
Then she gesture to the food on the table.
I hope that you are enough for eat a little ?

Of nothing, it's my pleasure, I just hope that it's at your taste ... as you know I am not really a specialist in wines even if I am french !

Good, then we can start to eat to.
She take the basked of bread, take some peices of it, then handle it to Mary and do the same with the cheese, the butter, the salad, the eggs and the cheese and oignon pie, filling her own plate, then she take the bottle of apple juice and fill her goblet and take a sip of it and wait politely for Mary having her plate filled, glancing to Olympe who eat her food with appetite.

Emilie smile to Mary and take a sip of her goblet, then eat her pie and salad with appetite, she glance outdoor and get melancolical in seeing snowflaked falling on the garden, making so beautiful landscape but annoncing the long months of winter arrival, then she turn again to Mary.
So you will marry in winter in the end ?, don't you ? or will you wait for wind ?

All the better then !, I want the better for my guest especially for such a good friend like you ! She take a sip of juice, looking at Mary with a understanding air on her face.
In this case, you shouldn't wait indeed and get married as soon as possible and so you will be able to start this wonderful adventure very soon and the sooner you will get married, the sooner you willd have children.

Indeed, I think that this period of the year is a excellent one for a new begining since we will soon change of year and wish that it will bring you all he happiness of the world and I lift my goblet to it. She lift her goblet and drink some of it, then eat her pie, then she smile in feeling how much Mary seem to wish for it's snow at her wedding.
I hope so too then since it's what you wish for, and about the guests, you know, since it will be in winter, the risk to be cold wiehter it will snow or not, so they will have to wrapp up warmly anyway.
She look at Olympe and see that she have yet eat most of the food in her plate and seem to have still good appetite, she smile and stroke her hairs, the little girl turn to her and smile, then return to her plate and eat some cheese and bread. Thinking again to the mariage, feeling so happy for her friend, she recall of the extravagant feats for celebrate mariages to which she have attend with her family in France and how funny it was at times when everyone having drink very much and the joyful athmosphere did let it all hang out, she turn again to Mary.
Do you have plan something after ceremony ? maybe a reception or a feats for celebrate the mariage ?

Don't feel forced to do it, I know that it's would surely make you more busy than you surely are yet about the cermony, but if you have the time and the envy of it, I think that it's would be very nice event.
She eat the food that remain in her plate and take a sip of juice, turning to Olympe, she see that she is yet eating her dessert, so she serve herself in cake, cookies and sweets, then eat some of it and turn again to Mary, giggling as she recall of their discussions of before her fiancailles with the duke.
Do you recall that some time ago, we have tell that we probably would both remain single and not get married ! and now look at you ! you are to get married ! I wouldn't had expect it at times !
