Thomas sat, half in shadow. "Mr. Ropes.. a cook by trade." Boleyn's sneer was evident even in the dark. "You understand what's expected of you." It was more a command than a question.

John looked at the coins on the table and gulped hardly. He extended his hand hesitantly to take them but Boleyn shielded them suddenly. He felt a cold shiver running along his back after he threatened his family. So he nodded and took finally the coins. He put them in his pocket and looked scared at them

John looked at the postion and gulped hardly. He glanced up at George Boleyn before taking it in his hand. He hide it slowly in his pocket with trembling hand. Then he bowed and left the room
