Joanna of Castile´s Bedroom

I was in my bedroom, I felt lonely.My life was hard...I thought of my children: Eleanor, Charles, Isabella, Ferdinand, Mary ... and my dear Catherine...I looked across the window...It was a sunny day but I was unhappy.

Margaret aproached the castle, looking out the window of the carriage. She sighed deeply as she saw the place where her sister-in-law was actually imprisoned, she knew Charles would not appreciate her visit but she would cope with him later. For now she needed to see the sister of her first beloved husband and see for herself how she was doing lately.
As the carriage stopped she got out of it and breathed the warm air, rearranging her veil to protect her face against the sunlight.
A servant came closer, surprised there was a visitor and she told him to announce her to Joanna.
He hesitated but she walked past him and entered the castle herself.

Joanna? .... Joanna, where are you? She called while she gazed around the empty hall.

I heard a familiar voice: "Oh my God! Margaret!.I exclaimed when I saw her...please, come in...

Margaret turned around and hid her shock as she hardly reckognized her, she approached her quickly and hugged her hearty.

Joanna! So good to see you again, finally!

Joanna gave her a big hug Margaret...I'm so glad to see you, how are you, darling? People say that I'm crazy..but it's all a lie.

I am fine, my dear, and so happy to see you again! Let me look at you... you have lost weight, are you feeling well?
She holds her at armlength, feeling her thin arms and looks worried at her.

And of course you are not crazy, you are mourning, like me. She says softly.

_"I live full of loneliness...but, I am a strong woman"
Said the queen staring at her.
"I am very happy to see you again dear Margaret, and now sit down, please..."

She smiled and sat down with Joanna, still watching her with compassion, then she turned her head and noticed several servants staring at them with a malicious expression on their faces. She frowned, they looked more like guards than servants.
She leaned over to Joanna and asked in a whisper.

Do they treat you well? Are they good for you?

Joanna shouted at the servants:
_"Out of here! I want to be alone with my sister in law"
The servants left the room quickly and Joanna smiled...
_"yes, they obey me, are are comuneros and loyal to me"
