| Edmund crawled into his chamber which he shared with his sister. Once his nurse had changed him into his night shirt and draped a velvet robe around him; he reluctantly said his prayers and then enthusiastically embraced his mother,"Good night mama, I love you." | |

| Jane put them two in the separate beds after getting them changed "I thought yous might like to share the same chamber since yous were in a strange place for this eve." she whispered and she kissed their foreheads "If yous need me, ill be in my chambers" she watched them both before going out of the room closing the door softly behind her. | |

| Edmund awoke in the morning and was promptly washed until his golden tendrils of hair glinted and his blemish free flesh smelt of lavender. He was dressed in his usual constraining clothes which made him look like a little grown man, he even wore his ceremonial necklace. He had been raised to be aware of his power and as such was always dressed in the latest fashions and in the richest of fabrics.
Once he was dressed his governess came to him and gave him a little book to read to her. He read with surprising prowess-everyone knew he had his fathers charm and intelligence. | |
