Charles & Margaret's bedchamber

Margaret sighed and she closed her eyes

"Charles, what do you think of that....whore he is wanting" She said and she opened her eyes again and looked at Charles.

"He sighed and looked at ceiling"

Do you mean...Anne Boleyn? I never liked her, sincerly. I think she is just using your brother to get power at court. But of course...I can't share my opinion with him. I just obey to his orders...

"He answered, turning to her"

Margaret frowned and shook her head

"Poor Catherine, she is so alone in this country, that Boleyn girl needs to know where her place is, and i wouldn't mind showing her it" She said and she sighed.

"Charles nodded slowly after her words. Then he took a deep breath"

Margaret...about what you asked me...I'll do it. I'll bring lady Nan Saville to you...

"He said almost whispering, lowering his eyes"

Margaret thought for a moment..

"What did i ask? I seem to have forgotten..." She said and she sat up.

"Charles smiled indulgently at her and sighed"

Of course...You asked me to bring lady Nan in your chamber, because you need talking with her...Arent'you?

"He asked, almost hoping she changed her mind"

Margaret thought for a moment and nodded

"Yes... i needed to...ask her something. There were suspicions going around court, and i need them to be cleared.." She said and she rolled onto her side away from Charles and closed her eyes.

"Charles closed his eyes and kissed softly her forehead"

Everything will be fine, Margaret. I'm here with you...and I'll never leave you...

"He whispered, looking tenderly at her"

Margaret sighed inwardly and opened her eyes to Charles
But for how long will you be here? i yet know the rumors of your..lover"

She said and she sat up and got up out of bed and put her robe on and walked towards the window.

"Charles leaned his elbow on bed and looked silently at her. Then he stood up and reached her slowly"

What kind of...rumors, Margaret?

"He asked, trying to catch her eyes"

Margaret refused to looked around and she put her hand on her chest and folded her other arm over her stomach

"I am no fool Charles, nor am I deaf nor blind." She said and she glanced up at Charles then out the window.

"Charles sighed deeply, coming closer"

Oh...my dear! You shouldn't talk about that. It's not healthy for you. I...made you a promise, Margaret...

"He replied, looking worriedly at her"

Margaret looked at him and she shook her head.

'Charles, i know about you and Nan, i took it to myself, to listen to some Gossip, and that was my reward.' She said and she looked out the window again.

"Charles stared silently at her as she mentioned Nan. He felt suddenly gulty. But then he took a deep breath, before replying"

You...you and Nan will talk privately, as you asked me. I...I just want you to know that I never wanted to hurt you. Believe me...

"He added almost whispering, taking a step towards her"

Margaret looked at him and made an emotionless face.

'Is it still happening? is this why you wanted her and me to talk, so you could see her?' She asked and she breathed in deeply.

"Charles noticed that she was agitated. Then rubbed softly her arm, trying to make her calm down"

Oh no...this is not the reason. Nan and I...are no so close anymore. It's the truth, Margaret...try to calm down...

"He whispered, holding her softly in his arms"

Margaret looked at at Charles and smiled a little.

'I am calm, Charles. Very calm, i know why you take mistresses, its because i cannot do what they can at the moment, and i truly....approve of it' she said and she gulped a little and closed her eyes and turned to the window.

"Charles sighed deeply after her words and touched softly her chin. He made turn her head towards him slowly"

"He said hardly, feeling his heart beating faster in his chest. He realized that she really suffered too much because of him"

Margaret stared at him, she really wanted to believe him, she breathed in deeply.

'Charles, if you do...break your promise, i won't die of illness, i will die of a broken heart,' She said and she kissed his cheek softly.

"He sighed again and closed his eyes as she kissed his cheek. Then leaned on her and kissed softly her lips, still holding her waist"

Margaret kissed him back and smiled

'I think, i will get ready and go for a walk, outside' She said.

"Charles smiled wide"

Oh...really? Shall we go outside for a walk, then? You need some fresh air...

"He added, removing slowly her hair from her forehead"

Margaret nodded and smiled a little

' Yes...I just need to put my dress on, you go outside and ill be out soon' She said.

"Charles nodded while smiling"

As you wish, my darling. I'll wait for you in the garden. But don't leave me waiting for too long. You're already beautiful. You have no needs of ornaments...

"He said charmingly. Then kissed her hand and left the room"

Margaret got ready, into her Orange dress and walked out to meet Charles.
