Cecily had come to with her father and step-mother. It was a rather peculiar experience as her father did not work for the king. Thus making Cecily believe that the entire family would retire to a peaceful and somewhat comfortable life in the country side. Not been here before Cecily brief thought of their mother in her younger years, perhaps she had come here when she was younger. Much was unknown about her mother's early life before the children came. Cecily wished that one day she would be as happy as her parents were.

Thomas joined the library, wanting to spend some minute in peace among books. He disliked Anne Boleyn as everyone knew, but the King himself wanted him there with his family, so he couldn't avoid that, in spite of his resignation by public life. Once he stepped in, he saw his daughter Cecily looking at shelves and smiled surprised

Cecily..you're here, my dear. I was wondering about you. Are you alright?

He asked with carying voice while approaching her

Cecily thought that she must of been dreaming as she heard the familiar voice of her father. As she turned around; she saw that it was a reality he had found her. Father! Cecily exclaimed joyfully putting the book back quickly. As she ran into her father's arms as though she was still a child. The smile that Cecily wore on her face was always a warm; mellow smile with the rosy cheeks that always bloomed. How did it feel to be back in France? The last time you came to France you told us how both kings fought like bulls.

Thomas smiled joyfully and hugged his daughter. He kissed tenderly her forehead and nodded after her words

Indeed...I remember it very well, my sweet Cecily. Henry and François fought in front of their Queens. I had to stop them. But now...we're here for a very different reason, as you see. Even if I'm no longer Chancellor, I'm always at King's side. This is my duty, my dear..

He added with a drop of sadness in his voice

Forgive me if you think that I am speaking out of terms Father. Why do you stay loyal to a King that is ripping apart his own kingdom at the cost of others. War could happen with the Spanish and I myself do not want such a thing to happen in England. It had troubled Cecily a great deal this is why she remained always at the family house other than attending court. To become a lady in waiting would be dreadful. When Cecily would marry Giles then she would obey him and explore the world learning of all it's history. What also affected her was how they perceived her father at court now he was no longer kings councillor.

Thomas sighed deeply but he showed her e weak smile. Cecily always had a lively cleverness and she was very wise also. He nodded

I understand what you mean, my dear. But I think we're safe from war. For now...at least. The Emperor won't forget his aunt's humiliation easily, but a war is very expensive, and it takes time to arrange. By the way..I appreciate your concern, Cecily, but you have no need to worry. I'm fine..and my faith in God makes me stronger to face all this. I'm very proud of you..

He added smiling tenderly at her

Geneviève kept mainly to herself these days, and in the bright morning light she sat at a bay window and read from an old tome of knowledge from long ago. With a contented smile on her face, she began to read and let her thoughts concentrate on happier things.

Jane had recently been dismissed from the services of Katherine of Aragon. As of yet she had not a place within the English palace and that was fine with her she didn't like court anyway. With permission from her mother, she was allowed to do some traveling in order to further her education and equity. Still feeling a little drowsy from the voyage Jane went in search for a book on needlework something different to read and learn.

Christophe was perusing the selection of books on warfare, it was the only subject that held any interest for him. From across the aisle he saw a petite figure with blonde hair and what was obviously English fashion. His curiosity got the better of him and he made his way to her, humbly. "I beg your pardon mademoiselle, but I couldn't help noticing you. Are you new at court?"He hoped to come off as friendly, and not to scare her off.

Jane wasn't used to male attention what with being closeted away kept only with a handful of ladies most of the servants were female too. She blushed profoundly smiling as she cast her eye's down to the floor, embarrassed to catch the attention of a man. One who was exceedingly handsome, whose eyes held a mischievous sort of look at them. "Yes, my lord, I come from England, but I am here for ones pleasure not employment." Jane slowly raised her gaze to meet his before shyly looking away again.

She was very pretty, and obviously shy. She wasn't a Frenchwoman by any means - it was a refreshing change of pace. "You are visiting France for fun? I hope this country brings you everything you want," he said kindly. "Forgive me for not introducing myself: I am Christophe Sinclair." He bowed.

He was unlike any man Jane had ever come across tall, dark and handsome a rare gem among muddy finds. If only Jane could stay in France forever, she would like to discover ore about this man who intrigued her by first sight. "Pleasure to meet you I am Jane." She purposely withheld her last name just on the rarity that somehow people knew about what her father had done. Jane shuddered when she thought about it and pressed the memory to the back of her mind. "My visit here is only a short one I would like to travel out into the countryside instead of spending all my time here. Sometimes I eye up other visitors in hopes that someone will catch my attention and I'll pluck up the courage in asking them to take me away." With a dreamy sigh Jane puts the book back onto the shelf slowly adverting her gaze to the man standing beside her. Something not quite sure what it was sparked open inside of her was it, he fact that a man was finally talking to her.

Jane. It was a pretty name, wholly English, and suited the young lady perfectly. Christophe smiled again. "It is a great pleasure to meet you, my lady," he said, avoiding using her Christian name out of courtesy. "So it is the countryside you wish to see? If your chaperone would approve I would be happy to take you for a ride," he offered.

"I would love to, my Lord." It was the best offer that Jane had had in a very long time. Secretly a part of her had hoped that this charming, handsome man would offer a quarter of his time. In helping Jane see some of France. "Yes, well I travelled with an English family and they are far too occupied with trying to be more French than to my whereabouts." Said Jane with a simple shrug. If her brothers found out they'd probably call her back to the Wolf hall to spend time doing more sewing more of what they wanted her to be. Obedient.

"We cannot have every English person trying to be French, for there would be no diversity in the world," he joked. "Let us meet at the stables in half an hour? I can even have a little snack prepared for us on our ride."

"It sounds perfect to me my lord should I change or just come as I am." She wasn't exactly too sure if she should change into something more comfortable or dress up for the occasion. It was really hard to impress every person that Jane had come across.

"Wear something suitable for riding, it doesn't need to be too decorative," he informed her. "Perhaps also wear a hat to protect your pretty skin from our harsh sun."

"OK monsieur I shall do my best to meet you I hope my riding skills shall not embarrass you." She smiled for his words in all honesty, no man had ever complimented Jane on her beauty let alone her skin. Not knowing how to react, she gave him a quick curtsy scurrying out of the library as her skirt swishing at the bottom.
