Charlotte's bedchamber

She lovingly gazed into his eyes, seeing only pure love there. "And I love you, Leonardo, so very much." Smiling, brimming over with the joy of true love found at long last, she snuggled into his embrace. "What would you say if I told you I may be with child?" She asked, looking up to gauge his reaction.

Leonardo's face went emotionless for a moment then the corners of his mouth creased and formed a smile. "I would be overjoyed! Are you with child my love?" he asked hesitating his reaction.

"I will have it confirmed later this week, but all the signs are present." She kissed his mouth, tasting the sweetness of their love. "That will give us one more thing to celebrate at the masque!" Charlotte was absolutely thrilled that all seemed to be falling together.

Leonardo sat up and smiled brightly "A child?...." he paused "If there was anyone in this world that I would want to have a child with would be you." he said and placed his hand upon her belly. "Although, that means we must get married, I wouldn't want my child being brought into the world a bastard."

Charlotte sat up as well, the blanket falling away from her body. "And there's no one else I'd rather have as the father of my child," she said, her voice soft and sweet. His proposal surprised her, and yet she knew already that she would spend her life with him. "If we married..well, I think I would never want anything else in this world."

Leonardo kissed her lips, feeling so happy. "I thank the lord everyday that I met you that day on the bridge, because ever since then I knew my dark days were behind me, and now with a child on the way I know we shall all be a happy and blissful family" he said knowing now he would be complete.

"I will make sure every day a beautiful one for you, we can start over together and forget the past." Her fingers lightly touched his chest. "Now shall we get some sleep or do you have another pastime in mind?" Her blue eyes sparkled with mischief.

Leonardo entwined his hands with hers, brought them to his lips and kissed them softly. "The past is behind us, and now we shall start anew." he said and gave her growing stomach small kisses. "As much as I would enjoy that, I wouldn't want to put our child in danger. Let us see the physician in the morning and then perhaps we shall have more past time fun. Besides, you need you rest." With that said he pulled her close to him and drifted off to sleep.

She could not sleep at first; her restless mind went over every detail of her future: her child, her wedding, everything had come at once but they were blessings nonetheless. Finally she began to feel the pull of the moon, shining silver and large through the tall windows, and felt the rhythmic breathing of Leonardo next to her, and fell into a deep slumber.

Leonardo woke with the brightness of the sun, he looked over at Charlotte and smiled at her sleeping face. He thought he was so blessed to have such a woman in his life. He then leaned down and kissed her cheek lightly "Good morning, my love"

She awoke, stretching like a cat, the warmth of the nearness of Leonardo was a welcome thing to begin the morning. "Mmm. Good morning my dear love." She snuggled against him, her senses awakening as the salt breeze wafted through the open windows. "Dare I ask what you have planned for today?" She smirked, knowing Leo was an avid swordsman.

Leonardo moved her hair away from her face and smiled "You look so beautiful when you sleep." he said as he leaned down and kissed her. "Well I have no particular plans in mind, however it would be nice just to take in the city and enjoy it's charm.

She smiled as the sweet warmth of his kiss wakened her. "You make me feel beautiful at all times," she whispered. "You should be careful on the streets of Venice. She is a beautiful city and you could easily fall in love and lose your way," she said with a glint in her sapphire eyes.

Leonardo held her close "Oh that could never happen, cause only one has my heart, and I have her wrapped in my arms and never letting her go." He said and kissed her lips feeling unbelievably happy.

She snuggled close to him, breathing the familiar scent of him. Suddenly anything to do with the outside world seemed dull, had lost its sparkle. The only thing that held any interest for her was Leonardo. "I never want you to let me go," she said. "But if the city calls to you, you must answer it. There is so much beauty to be seen."

Leonardo held on to her closer, "I shall never let you go, not never." He said lightly kissing her cheek. "The city does call to me, and such case I shall take you with me" He then turned her head kissing her lips passionately.

She beamed. "Oh, so this shall be a lovers' outing. Very well then. I shall be glad to accompany you. Every woman will be mad with jealousy when they see that you are mine." His kiss sparked a flame within her, and ran her fingers through his hair as she cupped his head. She instinctively arched beneath him, opening to her beloved.

"Every woman should be jealous" Leonardo felt her fingers through his hair and he kissed her passionately as my desire grew for her I reached down and felt her wet womanhood as I kissed her lips.
