Jenny few days ago returned home from France and went for a walk in the garden. She liked these gardens very much. She walked quietly and then sat on a bench under a large willow tree. She took a deep breath, closed her eyes and thought.

Mary was at Lambeth to relax for a few days and she spied her dear cousin at once. "Jenny!" She called out and bound across to hug her.

Jenny opened her eyes and saw cousin. "Mary!" She got up from the bench and walked closer to cousin. She smiled and hugged her. "I'm glad to see you. How are you, dear Mary?"

Mary smiled at her cousin's reaction and hugged her back tightly, "I am well but I missed you. You should come back to court with me."

Jenny nodded. "I also missed you. How long has it been since we've seen? To court? It sounds wonderful! Once you will have a way to court, I'll go with you." Then she turned back to the bench. "Come, we sit down and you tell me something about yourself."

Mary followed her to the bench sitting down with a smile. "It is nice to be here, court life can be so busy. It is nice to relax but I love it there. I have gotten to meet the King and our cousins at court are all doing well but Jenny I have met the most charming man. I dare not wish he would want me for his own but I would say yes in a heartbeat if he did."

Jenny listened to her attentively. "I often remembered to cousins Anne and Mary." She sighed. "I haven't seen for a long time anyone from the family." But when Mary began to talk about the man, Jenny smiled. "I very glad to hear that you met a charming man. Maybe you'll get lucky and soon to marry. Can I know his name?"

Mary laughed at her words, "I care for him but Jenny I doubt he shall marry me. He does not seem that type and you will have probably heard awful things about him. He has a bad reputation at court but it is not true from what I can see. His name is Francis Bryan."

Jenny smiled and shrugged. "I think I've heard of him some very ugly things. But if you like him, nobody can defend to your love." She looked at her. "Promise me that you'll be careful." She stared into the distance. She knew that could trust to her.

"I promise to be very careful but Jenny I have heard those awful things too and I do not think any of them true. He is very kind and funny." Mary's face flushed thinking of him. "But even of me, how are you?"

"I believe you. Nobody of us can judge a person than it knows him. Courtiers are envious and say different things. Depends only on your decision and I want you to be happy," she said with sincerity. "I'm very well, but I'm glad that I'm back home. I really missed you and others."

"I missed you too, it is always good to be home. You really should come to court then you can see cousin Anne. She is busy with his majesty all the time." Mary grinned at her, and his majesty is very very handsome."

Jenny smiled. "Yes, I heard that he is very in love with Anne. In France he was often the subject of talk of some courtiers. And some French ladies thought that the King of England is very charming. Several lady's interviews about Henry were really interesting."

"I have had a private audience with him and I found him to be charming and so very handsome. If I did not have my eye on Francis I would gladly place myself in the King's path if our family needed me too." Mary admitted, "King Henry is just a man you want to spend time with, I think Anne will be a very happy wife to him."
