Entrance Hall

Chapuys enters the Hall, takes off his hat and hands it over to a servant.

I come to see the Queen, will you announce me to her. he says while he also takes off his cloak.

Her majesty enters the entrance hall ..."Where is everybody and where are my ladies?.."

● On the command of King Henry Thomas came to Kimbolton with the order placed firmly in his hand. He thought that all the rumours about Anne and him would of stopped. But, by the kings words in the letter their was a shadow of doubt in them. Thomas told the servant that he had arrived and wished to see the queen. He hoped that she would not receive him as he had not the heart to be so cruel, despite his friendship with Anne. ●

Elizabeth opened the front door. The young handsome poet Thomas Wyatt entered the room holding a letter. Elizabeth's heart started beating fast. She was happy to see him, but she didn't want him to notice that.

●Thomas smiles noticing how casual she was trying to act. Lady Elizabeth, it's nice to see you again. I have come to see her majesty. Thomas looked around wondering where she was.●

"Mister Wyatt" Elizabeth greeted him and closed the door. "Her majesty is at a prayer and will be for a long time. She cannot be disturbed" she announced.

●Thomas frowned hearing this it was his responsibility to make sure she got this letter. I need you to pass on this letter to her. It is ff the up most importance Elizabeth. The king wants her to hand over the state of jewels the ones that queens wear. Can you promise me you shall give it to her as soon as she has finished.●

"I will give the letter to her majesty as soon as she comes back" said Elizabeth and looked down. She felt nervous and blushed. She didn't want Thomas to notice her feelings towards him.

Anne had only arrived at England and she surprised already at its beauty. She was in a riding gown, and her hair had been pulled back out of her face. Despite her young years, she was determined to prove that she was loyal and dedicated to the Queen Katherine.

Katherine was on her way to her chambers when she saw a beautiful girl in the entrance.

Anne looked at the woman infront of her, and although she wasn't formally addressed she knew who this woman was, her regal attire and her beauty was enough to tell her. She was stunned for a moment before curtsying lowly "Your majesty." she said and her French accent wasn't strong, but it was heard "I am Anne Bassett, daughter of Honor Plantagenet and Arthur Plantagenet, Viscount Lisle."

Katherine bowed her head and smiled " welcome to Kimbolton castle lady Anne, sorry for receiving you like this, my ladies are enjoying the sun in the garden. "

Anne looked at the floor and she shook her head and she smiled "There is no need to apologise, Your Majesty." she whispered to her and she slowly looked up at her and she took a deep breath "I am here to serve as your new lady in waiting."

" I will have lady Elena show you your bedchambers, I hope you find your chambers comfortable. " Katherine tried not to show the sadness in her heart, she missed her home and her daughter Mary, Kimbolton castle did not feel like home.

Anne nodded slowly and she gulped "My lady, it might not be my place to say it but I truly think of you as a strong woman." she said to her softly and she finally stood up and she smiled at the Queen "You are a true Queen, and everything that is happening, you do not deserve and with Gods help the King will come to his senses and be relieved of the spell that the witch has him under."

" god bless you Ann, thank you for your kind words. " Katherine walked closer to Ann and smiled, Katherine knew she could trust her.
" I am the true Queen of England and wife to my beloved husband, I know god will help me. "
Katherine held her prayer book tighter " Tell me about your family Ann, I have not had much company, since the king will not allow anyone from court to visit me. "

Anne smiled at her and she tilted her head "My family well, my stepfather Arthur Plantagenet is uncle to the King and son to Edward IV, so perhaps I could get my father to speak to the King? Or speak to him myself? For him to let you see your daughter?" she asked her softly and it was evident she was full of ambition and she smiled at her "with Gods help your majesty, you will return to your throne." she looked at the bible in the Queens hands and she noted the true religion was practised in this household and she was glad "I promise that I will be a loyal companion to you."

" I do not wish to upset the king, Sir Thomas has tried speaking to the king with no avail. " Katherine lowed her head and relaxed her hand on her prayer book, she knew the king would not change his mind on the great matter but still she hoped one day he will come back to her.

Anne smiled at her softly "You are a strong woman." she whispered softly "And I hope that I could have your strength." she looked at the bible then at her "With no avail you will return to the Kings side, and the true religion will be restored again."

Katherine nodded and smiled at Ann, she looked innocent but she has also strength and Katherine liked that she could see herself in Ann.
You must be tried and hungry from your journey, you must rest and maybe we could take a walk the garden when you have settled in."

Anne looked at the Queen and she nodded with a smile "Thank you, your majesty." she said and she gulped "I will be honoured to be in your presence once more, simply send word for me to attend you." she said and she curtsied "Your majesty.." she said before walking to her chambers.

Caspar entered the vast palace, entering the halls of the palace he remained clothed in his outside wares as he was not used to the weather of England, bowing his head to a servant girl "Will you please tell her majesty of my arrival, Naples has sent me on important matters to discuss with the her majesty" Caspar spoke kindly, handing the women a letter discussing the news of her cousin the Princess of Naples rise to power as its Queen of both Naples and Jerusalem "Give this to her majesty" he told the servant respectfully and waited for her majesty to arrive afterwards while he stood patiently.

I walk down the stairs very slowly, I feel my body is wearing down and each step I take I lean a little more on one of my ladies, I stand in front of the Ambassador of Naples.

" welcome ambassador " I lay my hands out to him.

The Ambassador knew how much the Queen meant to her majesty the Queen of Naples and Jerusalem, Juana d'Aragona of Naples, he knew also the conflicts of England with her majesty and it displeased him to know of the treatment of nobility from Spain and the daughter of the monarchy of Spain which he admired very much. Looking at the Queen in her feble state it concerned him seeing her so weak and he rushed to assist her "your majesty, you seem much not well with your health, come you must sit" he helped her taking her hands kindly and helped her to a comfortable chair and bows his head to the women helping her as well and turned his attention back at the Queen, his dark hues gazing upon the Queen "your majesty her highness the princess of Naples has now become its Queen, she claimed Jerusalem for her own as well" he spoke pausing for a moment, "she sends her love to you, and brings much good news she bore 3 healthy young sons, one named will please you very much. She had given her second born son the name of your father, Ferdinand" he spoke "and names you as his godmother" he told her honestly "the others are young Prince Alfonso whom is the youngest but the eldest of the 3 twins is Maximilian." telling her looking at her "and she proposes a proposal, a alliance with your majesty for marriage with your only daughter, the princess Mary" the Ambassador spoke kindly once more

He was unsure if this would please her majesty but he hoped it would make her smile.
