The room was alight, with candles spread all the way throughout the room. The fires were roaring hot, making the room a warming invitation to sit in. Their were sweet meats and pastries set out before us I opened the door wider allowing Janet to go in first. Welcome Janet please make yourself comfortable.

"Thank you Mary."

She said softly.

This was my most favourite part of the year. A roaring fire and some spiced mulled wine to warm you up perfect! Would you like a drink Janet we have whisky,Scotch, mulled wine or just normal plain old wine. Their is only me here at the moment which is a shame everybody are far to busy. I hope my company shall be enough for you. I even felt lonely in this big old castle without no one to talk to.

"I am not thirsty but thank you for the offer. And I am glad to have your company." She said with a smile on her face.

You're welcome. This has been a very eventful year for you to find out that you are related to royalty. I seated myself next to the fire holding out my hands to warm them.

Such a peculiar response I thought to myself. So Janet, How did you find out that you were related to Royalty.

Oh I see. I'm sure she was a real beauty. Did you ever speak to you about suitors. I asked casually I often wondered if other people were forced into marriage.

Oh. I said mouthing the word. It seemed like a crime to be an lady of freedom. I didn't think I was the marrying kind. I had only ever come across one man who made me blush and he was married. My brother is always trying to make an alliance through a future marriage for me. Don't feel bad if he does the same to you. You are in fact now family.

You seem eager to please our brother! I took some warmed chestnuts, cracking them open in my hands. I am waiting for the time when women have equal say in marriage, before I commit myself.

She smiled softly at her sister. With a nod at what she was saying.
