Thomas and Elizabeth's bedchamber

Elizabeth looked around the room, and just stared. Her children were being traded like cattle for their father's own power. She sighed, and bit her tongue. Suddenly, she heard a knock at the door.

Thomas headed to his bed chamber...Elizabeth should be in there...He knocked the door...

"Yes Thomas I am in," she replied. Elizabeth came to her feet, and looked at her spouse. "Sweetheart how are you," she asked him.

'I am fine, dear. How about you?'
He smiled weakly.
'You don't look well today... Do you have a problem with something? Can I help you somehow?'
Said watching her curiously.

Elizabeth looked up at he husband, and smiled at him. "I am fine, husband. No nothing is wrong. I am thinking of our grandchildren, and ou children. It is too quiet without them here," she replied.

'Too quiet? My dear Elizabeth, think of their future.'
Smiled and approached her slowly still talking to her.
'The king noticed our family, our beautiful daughter... He is falling in love with her. Isn't it wonderful? She will soon become the queen of England, we should be nothing but proud of her.'
Shrugged and a sparkle showed up in his eyes.

Elizabeth had watched as her daughter Mary was paraded around as the King of France's mistress, and then King Henry's mistress. George was paired with that wretched girl, Jane Parker, and now Anne. Anne was Henry's latets mistress. Elizabeth put on a fake smile, and looked at Thomas. "I couldn't be happier," she said to him.

Smiled widely and shrugged.
'That is what I wanted to hear, sweetheart. I am glad we can share our happiness.'
He approached a small table. There were two goblets and he filled them with wine.
'We shall drink for the future of our daughter. Our future queen!'
Took both goblets and gave one of them to his wife. Then raised his own and nodded still smiling.

Elizabeth looked at her husband, and watched him reach for the table. The Countess knew her husband was a good man, but did he ever bother to think of their children's own desires? Mo....he possibly did not. "Thank oyu," she said taking the goblet, and raising it up to his. And, she took a sip.

He also took a sip of his wine.
'You know, I think you should also come to court. Nolens volens, we will soon become king's family and we could support Anne.'
Raised his eyebrows and glanced at the window and fell into thoughtfulness. Then he looked at his wife again.
'Perhaps you could also make some friendships. You barely leave our home here, in Hever. At the court, world is open, there are many women.'
Said using his encouraging voice.

"Thomas you know I have never enjoyed court life. But, if it shall please you. i will come to court," she said o him. She took a small sip of her wine, and listened to Thomas. "I shall always support my children, Thomas," she replied to him.

He rolled his eyes.
'I will either, sweetheart. Of course I will, always.'
Giggled like it was obvious. And nodded after Elizabeth agreed to come to court.
'Good. I will ask servant to prepare a chamber.'
Drank his whole wine and put away his goblet.

Elizabeth stared at Thomas, and simply smiled. "I am glad that you shall ask. Have you seen my brother? I am just curious about how he is doing," he asked her husband.

'I have seen him very ofter recently.'
Thought of their last meeting as they were discussing Wolsey's downfall and smiled slightly.
'He is fine, dear. And I must say we get on very well.'

Elizabeth sighed and, laughed. Her George. George was the only boy of their's to survive adulthood. And, it pained her greatly to know that her other boys died so young. "Thomas....he is your only boy.....so I figured you too would bond a lot," she said to him.

'Well, yes. And I want all what's best for him.'
Said quietly.
'You know, I think I will arrange meeting with Jane Parker's father. I think we should be slowly discussing the wedding.'
Smiled weakly.

Elizabeth looked at Thomas as he said he would arrange a meeting with Jane Parker's father. Jane Parker was a snooty little woman. Elizabeth knew her son would not be thrilled to meet her one day. "Are oyu sure? Jane Parker is quite an unpleasant woman," she said to him.

'Unpleasant? I find her very kind and intelligent. On what base do you think she is snooty?'
Asked curiously frowning and felt his wife was not into this marrage.

"I have heard that she loves to gossip about anything and everything," Elizabeth said to her husband. She gentley placed her goblet down, and stared up at her husband.

Thomas enter his bedchamber.
Mary is happy and he must not have afraid that she come back to court with the Kings bastard.
Thomas is comfort.
Sir William will she employ.
He put out his closes and go to bed.

Thomas wake up in the morning.
And write Anne a letter to Whitehall.


Dear Anne

All is alright.
The men is William Stafford a soldier i let him here at Hever.
He can busy Mary than she is not alone with her daughter.
I think its in your interes that she don`t bring Catherine at court.

Elizabeth entered in her husband's room to greet him. She missed him greatly. "Hello, my dear husband.."

He rose from his chair and greeted his wife with a kiss on the cheek. "Hello dear Bess. I've missed you."
