When are we to leave? I wanted to see young Beatrice before we go. I was rather fond of the young princess and wanted to see how she was. We had both travelled to Bavaria at the same time. My husband always knew how to charm me with his word's but I did not envy his job. Some royalty had mind's like children and I couldn't tolerate such behaviour from a person with such regal status. I would rather not have your job! If somebody is in a bad mood then an ambassador always receive s the brunt of that persons anger. Being a wife is much more of an easier task. When you see emperor Charles I shall be visiting Anna Bohemia instead. Their are somethings an ambassador wife should not involve herself in. I was also loyal to queen Joanna and had been for a very long time. I believed that she had every right to live in her own land as a queen. Not shut away and declared a lady of madness.

Inigo smiled and caressed her hand with his with a soft movement
I think we can leave in a couple of weeks. So you'll have time to see Princess Beatrice. She will be happy knowing that we're going to visit her sister. But yes..you're right, mi amore. My job is not that easy. Kings and Emperors changes mind every minute..it's their nature, I guess. And sometimes they throw on us their frustration. But I'm used at all this, and I love my job. So..don't worry. I won't force you hearing conversations about politics or something. Feel free to do whatever you wish while I'll be busy with Charles..
He added, pouring her more wine still keeping his smile

I didn't like my husband working for Charles V. He was a very indecisive man who needed to make up his mind on what he exactly wants. Instead of sending his siblings out to do all the negotiations. I do not trust Charles. You should be very careful with him mi amore keep your wits about you. Don't fall into any of his traps or promise anything you are unsure of.

Inigo smiled and brought his wife's hand to his lips to kiss it
You have no need to worry, Francisca. I know Charles very well. He can't harm me in any way, and I won't fall in any trap. I think I have enough experience to avoid that. So..just think about our vacation, mi amore. Politic is my matter..
He said hoping to reassure her. He touched gently her chin with his other hand

Have you heard from Eustace recently. I rubbed my eye's tiredly wondering how the young lady Mary was doing without her mother. Rulers were cruel to their own blood but at least Henry VIII adored his mother.I was wondering something mi amore, does Henry VIII think of Mary as a bastard, does he still believe that he is the father of her.

Inigo took a deep breath
I haven't heard about Eustace, recently. I guess he is still in England to take care about Princess Mary. Poor Princess. I heard that King Henry wants to remove her from the line of succession. So she will be known as Lady Mary only. But..I think that he still loves her in his heart. A father can't forget having a daughter. And we both know how precious children are, my love..
He kissed her hand again, without removing his eyes from hers

But how would you know such a thing if you haven't spoken to Eustace. What a devastation to Princess Mary maybe now Henry would let her and Catherine go back to Spain. After all, if Mary is his bastard then she shall be no threat to him. Children are a rare gift and you would think that after every child he lost Mary would be treasured more. It wouldn't surprise me if Mary escapes. I leaned closer to my husband as I whispered this. I hope Bavaria wouldn't have all this trouble.

Inigo glanced fastly around as she whispered her last words to him. He nodded
You're right, my love. But Mary has no other place to go. And even if she had one, Eustace wouldn't let her go. Sometimes he writes to me. I still can't believe she is now a bastard. Thank God..we ambassadors have not such problems. Our Dieg will be our beloved son forever..
He replied, knowing how anxious she was for the political situation. But she was also very well learned about royal bloodlines and succession. So he cared her opinion
