Anthony Denny's Bedchamber

Anthony could feel himself become even more aroused as her soft womanhood contracted around him. He smiled and took a breath, moving so that he lay beside her-entirely contented and satisfied.

"Tomorrow if you like. It's a good day's journey from court though-we shall have to leave at first light to get there before sunset."

As he spoke he absent mindedly traced his finger gently across her arm.

"Cornwall, "he said with a relaxed yawn, moving so that she may fit into his arms.

He smiled as he brushed his hand through her hair, the other drew circles on her shoulder, "Sing it for me then," he mumbled with closed eyes.

He was lulled into a gentle slumber as her sweet voice whispered in his ear. His arms even in sleep, kept her close to him.

Anthony opened one eye playfully and sleepily, "Sleep now, Joan," he mumbled against her hair with a relaxed smile on his lips.

Anthony laughed deeply yet quietly, rubbing his eyes, "We shall stay up all night tomorrow. I don't want to fall off my horse on the way home because I am so tired."

"Be at rest, I'll be here when you awake," he whispered with a gentle kiss on her head

The morning came as quickly as sleep had come. The sun spilled into Anthony's room and the yellow rays pulled Anthony from slumber. He tiredly opened his eyes and looked at Joan, smiling briefly at how peaceful she seemed in sleep.

He sat up with a sigh, pulling on his breeches. He walked over to his sideboard, grabbing a crust of bread and then perched on the corner of the bed.

Anthony smiled, holding onto one of her hands that was around him, "Did you sleep well?" He asked, finishing off his bread.

He then sat up, kissing her quickly but sweetly before walking to his wardrobe and pulling out a fresh clothes.

Anthony held her close with a content sigh, "Enough for as long as you wish to stay."

He smiled endearingly at her, combing the stray hairs upon her forward away from her face. He then paused to kiss her-softly and passionately. He added playfully, "Will you paint me?"

Anthony chuckled, holding her cheeks in his hands he kissed her one last time before letting her go. He smiled at her warmly, his eyes bright as glass, "Go get yourself ready," he said and pulled on a fresh shirt, "I'll see you soon."

As she left, he prized open the locked chest at the end of his bed-retrieving a small box and slipping into his riding jacket.

Anthony arrived in his chamber, his trunk slung over his shoulder as he kicked open his door. The room was dark and his shoulders ached from riding. He was tired, not physically but his head was heavy and his heart even heavier.

He didn't bother to unpack, instead he dropped his things on the floor and tore off his riding coat as he set about lighting his fire.
