The Woods

Inge travelled to England to visit some new places. She left her little son Leo in Bavaria with his nanny. She needed to learn more about other countries but she would have come back at home in few days. She was walking alone in a nice wood. She picked some flowers around and smelled them deeply

I was visiting England and I had decided to go for a stroll in the woods and as I walked I came across a beautiful lady who was standing picking some flowers. I approached her slowly and then spoke.

"The flowers in this wood are beautiful aren't the y my lady? Forgive me I am Rene of Rohan and who might you be my lady?. I say handing her a small pink flower.

Inge turned suddenly her head as she heard a male voice behind her. She smiled softly as she saw a young man handing a flower

My lord! You..you almost scared me. My name is Inge Bergmann. I come from Bavaria..and I'm here for few days. Thank you, Monsier De Rohan..

She added taking the flower from his hands

Inge smiled softly

Oh I just came for a short visit. I wanted to see England since very long time. And..what about you, my lord? Are you french?

She asked because of his accent

I smiled at the young lady before me.

"I am from France yes but I am also fluent in the language of the great Spanish kingdom too and what about yourself where do you come from? There is to be a new wedding in France soon as well perhaps you have heard?"

Inge smiled back at him

I come from Bavaria, my lord. I'm lady in waiting to Duchess Sybille of Cleves and I live at King Richard of Bavaria's court. Yes..I have heard about french wedding. It seems King Francis is going to wed his new Queen, right?

I smiled at her and picked a flower and gave it to her.

"You know I always loved these pink roses. Queen Claude of France she loved roses and there is a new rose garden at Versailles now too you should visit the palace it is extraordinary.

What is it like in Bavaria? Is his court very nice and if I am not mistaken wasn't the soon to be Queen of France in Bavaria not long ago?

Inge took the flower from his hand and blushed a bit. She smiled

"Thank you, Monsieur. Oh yes, I would love to visit France, one day. I have heard about Versailles's gardens, they must be beautiful. And yes..the Princess was King Richard's guest. I have seen her at a party at court. She is lovely, and I'm sure she will be a good Queen.."

I gathered my thoughts for a moment then I looked at her.

"I am of course to return to France soon for the wedding of Princess Eleanor to the King and I was just thinking perhaps you would care to join me there as my friend and guest at the wedding and you can meet the Queen. Would this interest you?

Inge looked surprised at him

Oh..I would be honoured to attend a royal wedding. And of course, I would be happy to join you, Monsieur. Thank you...just hope anyone has something against that..

She added, wondering if he was married or betrothed

Inge nodded

Oh yes...I think I can, Monsieur. I never saw french court. And thank you so much to escort me..

She smiled softly

Inge nodded with a smile

Of course, Monsieur. We shall meet there. Thank you again for letting me know about this event. And for inviting me. My lord..

She curtsied before him

Inge nodded with a smile

I'm going to prepare everything to leave for France. Thank you, my lord..

She curtsied again and walked away

I looked at her.

"Of course my lady I shall look forward to travelling with you I shall meet you at Versailles then my lady?
