'Well, when the king's mind is restless he sends messages or calls me, no matter what time of the day it is.' he smiles softly and kisses the tip of her nose. 'Luckily you sleep very soundly my love, most of the time you didn't notice, except when I was away for some hours at night, you always were awake when I came back. But this time, I have no idea why he wants to see me, together with Campeggio. Campeggio will leave for Italy soon, so I guess he wants to say goodbye to him, but why he wants me there also I can only guess. Well, I will find out, my love.'he shrugs.
He chuckles when she tells him she will have mercy now and raises an eyebrow. 'Lucky me, you didn't have mercy with me last night, as I didn't have mercy with you my love... but now I'm glad you show me some mercy after all, and treat your husband with the respect he deserves!' He winks and pulls her close to kiss her deeply and tries to stand up to get dressed. He moans softly and looks at her again, still on his knees, rubbing his back. 'I love to have breakfast my angel, but I think I need your wonderful massage even more!'

mmm my love, I think I am the luckiest here because I am so blessed when you have no mercy with me, and I am such a good wife that I respect my husband only when he deserves *winks and hugs you, wraps her arms around your neck and kisses you deeply once again* mmmm my love, well, so you need your massage and then you have to eat to recover your energies and strenght *winks* but ... *stands up and holds your hand leading you to the bed and you lay on your belly * this is what we need my love, our bed .... *smiles and straddles you, she's on your legs and kisses your back softly* I love you so much my divine Thomas, forever and ever only you, please try to relax meanwhile I'll show you some mercy *giggles and starts to massage your back, softly and hard when it is necessary*

'We can handle everything, indeed, my love... but now I need your help to stand up again, as always, actually!' he smiles while he hugs her and stands up, his arms around her in a tight embrace. 'Mmm, my Joan, you are a good wife indeed, and I don't know what I have done to deserve your respect, but I love you when you have no mercy with me!* He chuckles and winks at her, then kisses her velvet lips.
'A massage and breakfast, what more could I possibly want?' he follows her to the bed and lies down, his head resting on his hands while she sits on his legs. 'Our wonderful bed, that is all we need.... and yet we didn't sleep on it, again!' he smiles but when she starts the massage, he moans softly, all his muscles feel paralyzed and she is a master to loosen them. 'Ahhh.... is this mercy? I'd think you punish me for something, for what, my love? For being too gentle with you, last night?' he says teasingly, he feels so much better and enjoys her attention and massage.

'I know you are, you always support me in such a wonderful way, you are my true love and soulmate!' he speaks sincerely, looking deeply into her beautiful eyes. 'And I know I don't deserve anything at your loving hands! Shhh, I remember well enough the times I neglected you, my love, blinded by my own ambitions! I only hope I live long enough to make up for that... awww!' he moans softly as she loosens a stiff muscle and he closes his eyes, she relaxes him so well.
'Mmm, so you can think of lots of things, well, my love, name one because you don't seen to have mercy with me so I won't have it with you, too!' He turns around so she is on his legs and he pulls her on his chest to kiss her, his hands around her face. 'My deeply beloved and wild wife Joan... I love you, more than anything else... more than my own life!' He kisses her again and sigh deeply as there is a loud knock on the door.

´Yes.... we learn from the past, because history repeats itself untill we learned our lesson.´ he speaks thoughtfull, his head between his hands. ´I learned my lesson well enough my love, to never let you go again and love you with all I am, my wonderful and wise wife.´ He grabs one of her hands from his shoulder and brings it to his lips to kiss her fingers one by one. `Every single day I thank the Lord for your divine presence and love, and ask him to bless you. I am the luckiest man alive for having you at my side!´
´Wooow!´ he laughs warmly as she talks to him and kisses her back with love and passion. ´Are you sure this is about me? Aww, you can't love me more than I love you, my angel, it's just impossible!' he smiles and kisses her deeply, until she gets up. She is on her way to the door and he says 'I guess it is George, my love, tell him I will be with him in the cloackroom in a minute!' But when she opens the door, George rushes inside with a pale face.
'Excuse me, Your Eminence, I have bad news... the Princess Margaret... she has died!'
Wolsey stares in him, in shock, then covers himself in the sheets and jumps out of the bed. 'I need to go there, now! Poor Margaret... so she was right after all! Please, Joan, help me get dressed as quickly as possible, and George, get my unction and prayer books, I will pray for her immortal soul.'

George nodd and leaves the room in silence, while Wolsey turns to Joan. 'My love, I guess I disappointed George, but no one helps me better and quicker as you do... and makes me calm down, too...' he smiles vaguely while she helps him to put on his clothes, after he washed his face and hands.
He frowns, thinking of the Princess Margaret and her fate. 'She was a special lady, Joan, she always said what she thought... if you would like to hear it or not!' he smiles at the memory of her objections when she had to marry the king of Portugal, then shrugs. 'She wanted to choose her own marriage candidate... a choice of love! Do you remember how angry Henry was with her, and with Charles? She.... she told me she was happy, even though he...' he shakes his head and looks at her. 'Love can be so complicated, my angel... as we know ourselves. I made my mistakes too, but I sware I never betrayed you! I only hope I never have to face.... what Charles has to face now. I could not live another day without you!' He is ready and he takes her in his arms, his forehead against hers and then kisses her tenderly and lovingly, before he leaves the room.

Yes my love I know that about her, I admired her for that, for always telling what she thought and for not fearing men, and poor woman, she choosed a man who knows anything about love and real feelings, he didn't care her when she get ill, he has to learn what being alone means. I know you never betrayed me my love because we are real true soulmates and we could never ever feel well with some one else, and *she smiles tenderly* if we truly love each other, and we stay together forever and ever loving each other, we can face everything in this life, world, Universe and in all the next *kisses you deeply with all her love when you rest your forhead against her and softly rubs your back* take care my love, I will be here preparing our lunch, soup, meat, and bread, also cake if you want, remember you have to eat and recover strenghts my divine angel , my Thomas *kisses you deeply and goes to you to the bed, closing it after you go*

It is almost midnight before he returns, the room is dark, only one candle is burning beside their bed and he sits down at his side of the bed, tired like never before. Joan is sleeping, her hand outstretched and he bends over to kiss it softly. He takes off his scarlet hat and put it on the nightstand, then changes his clothes for a long night attire and quietly steps into the bed, trying not to awake her. He stares at the ceiling, too tired to sleep while his thoughts plague him and he moves restlessly to drive them back, turning on his side to watch her peaceful face. Softly he caresses her cheek and slides a hair strand from her face, smiling weakly as she curls her nose and he can't resist to kiss the tip of it.

*She is sleeping and a soft touch and kiss make her open her eyes, she sees him and hugs him tightely smiling happily* oh my divine Thomas, you are here ! how are you? tired my divine husband? *she asks when you sees your tired eyes. kisses you deeply and rubs softly your back, sticking her warm body against yours to warm you* mmm my love, would you like to have some soup? I just have to heat it and it will be great for such a cold night after a tiring day, or do you prefer a coup of hot coffee my angel? *she's sure you haven't eat too much during the whole day. softly caresses your face and kisses your eyes before kissing your lips tenderly once again*

She opens her eyes and he smiles softly while he kisses her lips. 'Ahh.... I awoke you my love, I'm sorry, I couldn't resist you.' He lies down and cuddles her, stroking her long wonderful hair. ' I am not hungry my angel, I dined with Norfolk ... I am only tired, very tired. Please, rest with me, you are all I need right now.' He makes her head rest on his chest while he continues stroking her hair and kisses it tenderly. 'And in the evening the funeral of Princess Margaret, so crowded and so sad, my love. It made me realize how short our time on earth is... and how transient.' he frowns deeply and holds her close, closing his eyes while he sniffs her natural perfume.

He smiles between their kisses and shakes his head. 'Norfolk a better cook than you? I don't think he ever saw a kitchen from the inside my love.... and even if he had, no one cooks better than you, my angel!' He chuckles and then becomes serious. 'We had a conversation in which I tried to find out what he plans for me.... I said it would be a good idea if all clergymen would visit their see some time and he suggested me to visit my see at York! York, my love, is my see at furthest distant from here! He obviously wants me as far away as possible from court and.... the king!'
Frowning deeply he strokes her long hair, spreaded on his chest. '.... and the funeral, the king was not there, my love, he can't be associated with death so he couldn't attend, but it was crowded, she was very loved by many people. Charles, well, Charles was sad, even though he was comforted by many ladies....' he strokes her face and presses a kiss on her head. 'I hope this makes him think.... so she hasn't died in vain. She really loved him and it took her life.' He lifts her chin and stares into her beautiful eyes. 'I praise the day I realized how important love is to live.... I praise the day you came back to me, deaf for my stupid objections!' softly he kisses her lips.

Awww my love I am not the best cooker but if you think that I am the happiest ever, so you , as a good boy, will always eat all your food *giggles and kisses you deeply and then listens to you talking about Norfolk* did that man say that??? *she asks suprised and angry at the same time* oh he's a true fool and a silly one, aggg if I were a man he would never ever had the courage for telling you such a thing! who does he think he is? he envys you! ofcourse he does, because he'll never ever be a man like you, wise, kind, taking care of England and the king so well, capable of lovig crazily and handsome *says looking into your eyes and then softly rubs your chest with her nose*
*she hugs you even more tightely and kisses your chest softly meanwhile you talk* oh I think the suffering is worse if you can't go to see your relatives when they die, like the king... and Brandon... ahhh my love, we know he will always have the company of many women but I hope, even in the bottom of his heart, he can feel how much princess Margaret loved him and how much he hurted her. True love shouldn't kill you, it has to keep you alive forever and make you feel you reborn each day *she smiles and kisses you deeply* like your love makes me the happiest ever *puts her finger on his lips* I did that because I was dying without you, and luckily, after an open heart talk and all my kisses and lovely treatments you told me you wanted me back because you were dying without me too, ahhh I really was reborn that day *kisses him deeply and softly strokes his hair* ahhh my divine Thomas, if you knew HOW MUCH I love you ahhh my eternal one and only true soulmate, we'll be forever together and that is what keep us alive and strong to face everything God wants to put in our way

'Of course you are the best cook! I ate delicious food on great banquets but I prefer your food, because it is always prepared with love.' smiles and kisses her tenderly. 'My angel, of course Norfolk told me everything, he didn't even notice he actually told me how much he fears and hates me... but I am prepared now, my love. I know they won't rest untill they have reached my downfall completely!'
He sigh deeply and speaks softly. 'I only hope that Henry follows my suggestion I once made to him, about a successor... and that he will appoint Thomas More. Though even More can't stop him, I know he will rule with integrity and do his best to keep the peace.'
He listens at her, nodding in agreement. 'True love makes you feel reborn each new day.... yes my love, that is the truth.' He pulls her closer to his chest and kisses her deeply. 'I didn't live, all these years after I sent you away. I thought it was for the best for both of us, but I felt so lonely, so empty, so lost without you. And you looked happy even though you told me again and again you were not, then you got children with him and I really wished that for you, a loving family.... but then you came back once again, telling me you couldn't live without me, too and that your children had died in childhood... ' he bites his lips and smiles faintly.
'I wasn't strong enough to send you away again and I thank God ever since... he made you come back and made me realize how much I love and need you by my side. With you I can handle everything God puts into our way, but I think our greatest test is yet to come...' he looks into her beautiful eyes and softly strokes her cheeks.

Awwwww my love if you think I am a great cook I am the happiest ever, because I cook with love indeed, with love for you and because I want you to enjoy everything I prepare for you. Don't worry for that Norfolk too much my love, because that is what he wants, to make you worry and concern, because he is not at your high and he could never ever win you making something good or intelligent, only his silly plans or ideas, don't worry for that my love, the king is not so silly, he has a little of brain, so my love, he will always follow your suggestions because anyone knows about this like you do, and if he were so silly to forget what you've said or to do something against you, ahhh my love, the days of his life won't be enough for the days he will regret, believe me that my love *softly carsses your ckeeks and gives you some kisses on your chest*
oh my love the man you married me with was a good man but that wasn't enough for me to be happy, because he isn't my soulmate, he isn't my true love, he isn't you! only with you I can be completely happy and feel I am alive! Only with you I want to love and be loved, only with you I have a past, present and future, only with you I don't fear anything , only with you I can face anything, only with you I am me. And all the problems or bad things that could come are nothing compared with not having you, so my love, I am here to support you, and if the end of the world wants to come it can come, because we are together, tightened to each other, to face that and even more, anything else is bigger than our, strong, old and neverending true love! We have to thank God, the angels, masters and the whole Universe for giving us the gift of our magic divine love, we have to do the best we can do, loving each other forever and ever and be eternal friends, lovers and soulmates, together forever and ever no matter what!

He smiles vaguely and plays with her hair. 'I know the king is not silly, my love. He told me in confidence he has to ignore me in public for a while to smoothen my enemies but he still seeks my advice. Don't worry my angel, the storm will lie and everything will be fine.'
She talks to him and he caresses her soft skin. 'I thought I could enforce happiness... I was so wrong. Happiness is just there, where your heart is and mine has always been with yours, my love. Even when we were aparted, only the thought of you made me go on and I was convinced that if you were happy, I would be happy, too. I was so ambitious and only wanted to serve my king, I really thought it would be enough for me, while you could live freely, in the open with someone who loved you like you deserve.'
He shakes his head and strokes her cheek. 'I made many mistakes in my life, but this was my biggest mistake... and I am the luckiest man alive to have you back in my life and feel whole again, you and I can't really be seperated, never, because we were meant to be.'

'I must keep faith...' he says, smiling vaguely but his eyes don't smile along. He sigh deeply and closes his eyes, he is so tired yet his thoughts tumble over eachother. ... everything will be fine, indeed.' He pulls her closer to feel the warmth of her skin, he is cold as never before.
She talks to him and he kisses her deeply, her faith in him gives him courage. 'My love, we will never apart anymore, I need you like the air I breath... but promise me, if ever.... something happens, listen at me when I ask you to leave me, for your own safetly.' he looks seriously into her eyes while he talks softly. I don't mind if being by your side is my death or someone will torture me for that, because there will never ever be worse torture and saddest death than being aparted from you. *Tears run down from her eyes* you can ask me to leave you but I will never ever do such a thing, we belong to each other, we're meant to be, and that will never ever change! *Kisses you deeply hugging you tightely and with necessity, kisses you lots of times* aww I LOVE YOU MY THOMAS!!!

She makes him rest on her chest and he wraps his arm around her, stroking her arm and her hair that spread out over her breasts. 'You always make me at ease, my love, I know we can handle everything as long as we are together. I love you my angel, with you by my side I fear no living soul!'
He raises his head, he expected her to object but he is startled by her severe reaction. 'My love! I would never ask you to leave me if it was not for saving your life, which means more to me than my own!' He wipes her tears gently while tears fill his own eyes and he kisses her lips. 'I can't allow anyone to hurt you, only because of me! You spreak of torture or even... death' he shivers and shakes his head heavily. 'No, no, no, my love, this will never happen, I would kill myself before letting anyone touch you and please, listen to me!'
He looks into her eyes, begging and persuading. 'In case, just in case, I get aparted from you, I want you to live with our son. I want a life for you, and you need to live, if only for our children! Promise me you will obey, promise me!'
