Chapuys bited his lips as they were interrupted by a servant, bringing another letter and he waited patiently for the queen to react on this bold plan of a man she distrusted for a long time.

I smile to him. "Do you think it could work?" I am happy at the thought of my husband coming back to me.

A servant came in Queen's chambers while she was having dinner

"Your Majesty...Ambassador Mendoza is here..."

Katherine looked at the servant, wiping her mouth after taking a bite of a strawberry. She addresses the servant. "Bring him in please!"

Inigo walked into room and bowed deeply

Katherine gets up from her dining room table and approaches Mendoza. "Senor Mendoza. How may I help you?"

Inigo looked at the Queen and bowed again

Your Majesty...I think you need to be informed. The King will settle the Parliament at Westminster soon. And there...all Cardinals will discuss about naming him Supreme Head of Church...

He said hesitantly, lowering his eyes

Katherine frowns from the news, unhappy with it all. "He is to break with Rome and make a church of England and I am to be abandoned by him. What does all this mean with my marriage? Does His Majesty still plan to divorce me?"

Inigo nodded, looking at her with a serious, sad glance

Yes, Your Majesty. If he will be appointed as Head of Church, anyone can stop him. And the Pope will have no influence anymore in this matter. But the Emperor is at your side. He will never leave your cause...

Katherine sighs, looking down for a moment then looks back at Inigo. "I see. I know the Emperor will never leave my cause, my nephew has always known what is right. Do you know if His Majesty decided to do this on his own or was it the work of the Boleyns?"

Inigo shrugged and took a breath

I don't know, Your Majesty. I sincerely don't. And even if this is a Boleyn's work, we can't prove it. All what we can do is praying, my sweet Queen...

Katherine sighs. You are right, senor Mendoza. Prayer is my strongest ally in all things."

Inigo looked silently at her for a while, before asking
