I hear the shouting outside and become a little scared.

I finish Mary's hair and say to her.

"What do you think Mary do you like it?"

I turn back and see Jenny. "I am well thankyou Jenny it has been a while".

I ask my mother something: " Mother what is the matter with father outside why is he angry?

I was starting yo get angrier and again I cry to the maid. " Bring me ale girl quickly".!

I look at everyone in the room who had gone quiet.

Mary smiled and hugged her sister, "I love my hair, you make it look perfect." Then she eyed her father not pleased with him yelling and as she looked over at her mother she crossed her arms over her chest.

Your hair looks nice Mary and I believe your sister has talent there

Mary touched her hair then grinned over at her sister. "Yes she does it very well. I feel very pretty like this."

Come sit Mary tell me what you have been doing lately.

Mary nodded to him and sat down. "What are you asking me? I have only been here with Mother."

You told me that you were leaving court. Have you not?

"And you keep telling me to stay. I'll stay for now." Mary said.

Now I was considering a marriage for.you to Henry Fitzroy my dear. I know you love Francis bit this could be a good match.

Mary sighed but nodded her head. "I won't marry any man without meeting him first."

I shall arrange for you to meet master Fitzroy.

Mary nodded to her Father then looked away.

Mary, I don't blame you for wanting a visit the one with your intended is a wise thing to do. But your father and I believe that you would take him as wife. I have been told that he is an agreeable man. I hope you would find him as someone that in time you would come to love my precious daughter. For I want nothing but the best thing for you and for you to be happy in your choice. *I smile at Mary, looked at her and give her a motherly hug*

Mary tried to keep a smile on her face then she hugged her mother back but said nothing. In her mind she had thoughts of Francis and Anthony but she didn't say anything. With a sigh she finally spoke, "I will meet him and see if we get along."

I turn to my wife how are you my dear?

I am well and I shall be happy if our Mary will like Lord Fitzroy. *Looks at Thomas. Are you sure that we should force her into this marriage. Perhaps we should let her understand the situation of what is going on. Let her get to know about Henry Fitzroy* I love you and I wish you all of the happiness you will have with him.

I will not force her to anything just want to see how she gets on.

Mary watched her parents start to talk then she discreetly excused herself heading back to her room alone.

I see that you are thinking about something and as your mother I would hope that you would be able to talk to me about anything. It looks like you are distraught about this. Tell me what is worrying you. If you would like to talk to me alone that would be fine. But I would like to know how you are feeling and then we can go from there. *I smiled and hugged her*

Mary sighed as her parents stopped her from leaving. "I am fine, I just need some time to myself. I don't have anything to share with you right now."

Mary stared at her father feeling frustrated because as always he was not listening to her. "I said I would meet him. Please try to understand that I'm feeling pressured and it's my life. I need to have some control of my own over it " She said then stood in the door way, part if her wanted to say more but she knew that they would not understand and just stop her from leaving again. Darting out the door she ran down the hall not looking back.
