Niklaus Petrovin's Bedchamber

Katerina was wandering the halls of Whitehall Palace. She was new at court and didn't exactly know where to go. When she thought she had arrived to her room she opened the door, went inside and closed it again after her. She turned around and gasped quietly, not knowing that she was in the wrong room.

"My lord, what are you doing here?"

Niklaus was standing next to window when a young lady rushed into his room. He frowned with curiosity "Hmm..anyone knocks in this court?" He said but when he noticed her pretty face he smiled "Who are you, my lady?"

Slowly she took a step forward and curtsied a little.

"My name is Katerina de Petrova, my lord. Now I want you to answer why you are in here."

Niklaus frowened and came closer with slow steps "This is my room, my lady. I live here. I just came to court from Russia. Why don't you come in?" He asked with an evil grin on his face, allowing her to join him

Katerina frowned, turned around and pointed a little at the door.

"Is.. this.. your room?"

She turned to look at him again, then she bowed her head and took a few more steps inside of his room.

"This is very embarrassing. I'm sorry.."

Niklaus bit his lips and looked at her face "Don't be sorry...there is no need. You're here, now. Doesn't matter how or why. Would you like something to drink, lady...?" He asked and approached the table to take a bottle of wine

Katerina moved a strand of hair away from her face and coughed a little.

"I'm sorry, anyways, if I disturbed you in some way or so."

She took a deep breath and followed him over to the table.

"Yes thank you. You can call me Katerina."

Niklaus poured her a glass of red wine and looked attentively at her face "Katerina...nice name. Where are you from, my lady? Your accent is similar to mine.." He smiled and left the glass in her hands. He touched softly her hand with his fingers

Katerina took the glass in her hand and held her breath when he touched her.

"Well.. I'm from a little village in Bulgaria."

She took a sip from the wine and smiled a little.

"Are you also new at court, my lord?"

Niklaus took a sip from wine and nodded "Yes..I come from Russia. I'm here to find my sister Rebekah. I heard she is at english court.." He said simply and kept on staring at her face

Katerina slowly nodded her head and finished her wine.

"I understand. So you haven't found her yet?"

Niklaus shook his head with a deep sigh "No...not yet. She is a very particular girl, and she needs my guide. I know it's hard to understand. But trust me..I'll find her as soon as possible.." He said firmly, with a bit of anger in his voice

Katerina bowed her head and lowered her eyes slowly.

I understand. I hope you find her soon… and if you want, I can keep an eye open. How does she look?"

Niklaus thought for a moment and bit his lips "Uhm..she has long blonde hairs and deep blue eyes. Her skin is white..and she is the most sweet creature on earth. Oh..but I don't think that such description can helps much.." He admitted shrugging and took another sip from his wine

Katerina looked at him, smiling a little.

She sounds very beautiful, my lord. I will differently keep an eye open."

Niklaus smiled and took a step towards her "I would be very grateful, my lady. And tell me: who keeps an eye open on you, my lady? Are you married?" He asked grinning

Katerina raised her eyebrows, feeling a big surprised by his question. She slowly shook her head and looked away. No, mylord. I am not married. I am Princess of Bulgaria, I can’t just marry whom I want." she said and shrugged a little.

Niklaus sighed with an evident grin on his face "Ahh...yes, the royal's injust fate. They never marry for love, but just for duty. Do you really want this life for you...Katerina?" He asked taking a step towards her

Katerina watched him carefully with her head raised.

I wish to marry a man that I love, not because it is my duty.

Niklaus nodded with a grin "Uhm...that's how I thought. Royals women are like every women in the world. With the same wishes, the same desires...don't you agree?" He asked smiling at the end of his sentence

Katerina narrowed her eyes and then smiled brightly.

"Sire Niklaus, I believe that we understand each other."

Niklaus nodded and touched softly her chin "Indeed, my lady...I think we understand each other perfectly.." He grineed and kissed suddenly and hungrily her lips

Katerina looked into his eyes and raised her head a bit higher.

"I guess that we do."

She said before he pressed his lips against hers. She got shocked and didn't know what else to do then to kiss him back so she did.

Niklaus removed hardly his lips from hers and grinned "This is what I meant. See? I can read in your mind.." He whispered and removed slowly her hairs from her neck
