Main Room Great Hall

Margaret looked at him. She was still shaking "I don't think I will.." She said simply, and she looked around room to avoid his glance

He chuckled and held her chin,"I doubt you could. I have a good memory, Margaret, do not think I forget our bed."

He took a swig of wine from the pitcher and called,"Give my regards to your husband...poor man."

He then left the room.

Margaret stepped back but she couldn't avoid his touch. She opened her mouth to say something but she just looked at him with anger and frustration as he left. She burst finally into tears and left the Hall quickly from the opposite direction

Anne entered the great hall, she was in awe at the beauty of it. Looking around, the music drowned out the noise of the people and was almost in a trance. Turning round she bumped into a man and she immediately dropped into a low curtsy "Your Grace, forgive me. Iy seems that the beauty of the court had me in a trance."

"Charles was walking around the Hall holding a cup of wine in his hands. There was a little party at court for Princess Elizabeth's birth. Suddenly a young, beautiful girl hit his elbow and he turned towards her. He smiled"

My lady...no need to apologize. Rather, that's my fault. I was looking elsewhere. Hope you are fine...lady..?

"He asked staring at her beautiful face"

Anne smiled, thankful that he did not take offense at her actions. Nodding her head she gestured to the celebrations "Yes, your grace. How could I not be? The celebrations are amazing...and another little Princess has been born for the King. Forgive me, I am Anne...Anne Bassett, my stepfather is Arthur Plantagenet, Lord Lisle and my mother is Honor Plantagenet." She took a sip from her wine, staring at him. He was rather handsome, and she already knew who he was; the infamous Charles Brandon "And I already know who you are, my Lord Suffolk. How could I not? Your presence, is rather big here at Court."

"Charles chuckled a bit at her last words"

Oh well...I'm glad. Hope you heard nice things about me...Lady Anne. So...you are relative to our King Henry. That's interesting. And honestly...if I had noticed such beauty among the crowd, I had no reason to look elsewhere...

"He added with a charming smile"

Anne shook her head at his words "Not really. My stepfather is his uncle, so I guess I am his....step...cousin?" She laughed. Looking at Charles, she felt a blush creep over her cheeks and she looked down "My lord. Your words are too kind to such a unworthy individual as myself. How is his majesty? I trust he is overjoyed at the most recent arrival of his daughter?"

"Charles smiled at her"

Oh not at all, Lady Anne. How could you be unworthy? That's just the truth. Just a blind man could not be bewetched by your beauty...

"He took a sip from his wine"

His Majesty is very happy, yes. Actually, he wanted a male heir. So I guess Queen Anne will give a Prince to Henry very soon. He hopes so...at least. Are you in Queen's household, my lady?

"He asked curiously, while stopping a servant and taking another glass of wine. He offered it to Anne"

Please...allow me offering you some wine, Lady Anne. It's always nice drinking in such good company..

"He added with a smile and a fast wink"

Anne couldnt help the hot blush that swept over her face, or the grin that spread across her lips. She looked down at her hands clasped at her stomach and bit her lip to try and contain it. Looking up at him, she nodded her head "Your Grace, God provides to those who truly deserve it. Do you think Queen Anne deserves it? Yes. I have recently returned from France, and I am yet to start my service in her Majesties household...I am yet to find out what kind of mistress she is." But she had heard of her harsh temper. She accepted the cup of wine off him, and nodded her head in thanks "Your Grace honors me. I must say I find your company most refreshing, you are the first person I have spoke to since returning from France and....it is nice to be finally away from the French men, they almost look like women." She laughed a little at her words, taking a sip from her glass.

"Charles couldn't avoid to laugh after her last sentence"

Do you really think that, my lady? Well...hope you'll see english men in a different way. I truly hope so...

"He grinned before adding"

About Queen Anne...I don't like her very much. Everyone at court knows that. But I think the King deserves a son. And if the Queen will realize that...then I'll be happy for him. After all...we're friends since our childhood...

"He paused for a moment while looking at her"

I have been in France many times...but I have never seen you at french court. Probably...some lucky man was busy in courting you. So...are you here to find an husband? If I may ask...

"My lord Suffolk, the French men at court wear more perfumes than women! I do hope that the English men prove to be more....manly." She nodding her head at him, She had to admit she wasnt a fan of Queen Anne either "May I let you into a secret, my lord? The French arent too fond of her either. But we pray God that he will send Henry a son." She laughed a little, a husband? she hadnt even thought of such a thing yet "Good God no. I am not shackled down yet, my lord. I like to think myself like a bird...I refuse to be caged."

"Charles smiled. He gently touched her elbow to walk towards a much more quiet corner in the Hall. So much noise around them. He leaned towards her"

Actually...I hope to prove you how much manly english men are...

"He whispered into her ear, looking at her with a teasing smile"

And if you truly feels like a bird...then I admire you, my Lady Anne. All young ladies in this Hall are here to find an husband. But maybe you'll change your mind...when you'll fall in love...

As they walked through the hall, she couldnt help the small shiver that ran up her spine at his words and she had a small smirk on her lips. She stared up at him, with a curious look in her eyes "And how do you plan to show me that, my lord?" She asked, and she laughed softly nodding her head "I do not plan to marry in a haste, my lord. I wish to explore the ways of love first. I will not give my heart too freely to another."

"Charles looking teasingly at her"

If Lady Bird honours me of her sweet company, I can show that very well...

"He looked around for a moment before turning towards her again"

Lady bird? She stifled a girl and she felt a blush creep over her. He was always making her blush, perhaps it was the fact she found him very handsome "My lord, if you deem me worthy, then I will be most honored to have your company." She shrugged a little, looked up at the ceiling before looking back at him "I like hunting, and I also like playing chess whilst drinking wine....perhaps a little too much wine at times. And you?"

"Charles raised an elbow while smiling"

Playing chess? Really? The King and I play chess very often. But I have never played with a lady. Especially...with such attractive lady like you are. You could even...divert my concentration from the game...

"He smiled noticing her blushing"

I would love playing with you, Lady Anne...

"You play chess with the King? I bet I could leave both yours and the Kings pockets empty. I am a pro at chess." She nodded her head, looking down at the cup in her hands. Slowly, she fluttered her eyes upwards, locking onto his and she smiled "Then we shall play chess, sometime. But I do wonder, would we play it in a public or private setting? I already know which one id prefer."

"Charles chuckled a bit before replying"

Well...I think you'll feel more comfortable playing in a private setting. If you agree, of course. We could drink wine by the fire while playing chess. I'm curious to see you playing. But of course...I'll let you choose where and when. I'll be glad to satisfy all your requests...

"He added while his glance fell on her neckline for a little while. Then he raised his eyes to met hers"

She looked thoughtful for a moment before nodding her head. She enjoyed his company "That sounds perfect, your grace. I must apologize in advice, wine makes me say things that I would never say if I had not of drunk it." She laughed softly, bringing her hand up and gently she put it on his upper arm and she cold feel the rigid firm muscle underneath "In fact, I look forward to it. Do you like French wine, your grace? I have an alarming amount that my father sent back with me."

"Charles offered his arm with a charming smile"

French wine is perfect, my lady. And don't worry about it...drunk people usually say the truth. Also...I can't wait to challange you on chessboard. So...may I escort you until your room?

"He finished his wine and smiled gently"

Anne looked at his arm then at him and a smile crept over her lips. She nodded her head, lifted her hand and she placed it on the arm he offered "Yes, my lord. Let us go." She said and she walked with him to her chambers.
