Geoffrey was walking along corridor, bringing some clothes in his arms. Suddenly he saw Queen Katherine coming out from her chambers with her ladies in waiting. He bowed deeply as everyone did
Her Majesty the Queen!
He announced loudly, raising his head. While the Queen was greeting everyone moving gently her hand, he noticed Cardinal Wolsey rushing towards her..

With a slight nod of my head I thank Geoffrey for his kind receiving introduction announcement. I see a friend, Thomas More, coming over to me, and then there is a swift movement from the other direction. I see the red of a gown. I know it is Wolsey! I move, trying to dodge him, and trying to make my way to Thomas. But I am too slow, and Wolsey grabs my gown before me..

-- Before Wolsey reaching her --
Katherine strolls through the corridors trailed by ladies and accompanied by Campeggio.
"Your Majesty..You know His Majesty the King wants to divorce you.But I have a better idea than divorcing. You are a religious person. If you join a nunnery, as other queens have done before you, it would be great for you.It lets you retire with dignity, as a Queen.."

Finally they leave the room! Wolsey had been waiting for them, grown obsessed by the idea of the Queen entering a nunnery. She must obey and he will personally reinforce Campeggio's proposition!
He falls on his knees before her and grabs her gown to make her stop, because he noticed she tried to avoid him while he quickly ran to her, his arms lifted.

"I will give you my answer in due course, after I have spoken with the King, my husband! Father, will you hear my confession later?"

He looks pleadingly at her. ' Your Majesty, please, I beg you to admit to the King's wishes!' he speaks softly but urgent.
"And what is his will?!"

He looks at her, almost begging.
'As His Eminence Campeggio expresses, that you enter a religious community or your choice and make the vows of eternal chastity.' He explains quiet and emphatic to her.

I look down at his eager begging face with fury. I want to slap him... how he dares! I am Queen of England, even thought everyone in England seems to have forgotten this!!

Wolsey closes his eyes when she speaks to him, not only because of what she says, but the way she speaks to him, full of hate. She does not -or wants not- understand, he has to be more specific. He prevents her from walking away by speaking to her again, quiet and withheld.
'Your Majesty enters the third stage of the natural existence. The first two you’ve spent on setting positive examples to the world. This act would seal all your good acts… 'He waits for her reply, his head bent humbly.

Looking around hastily, I beg him to rise "Please... rise, Your Grace! For it is not seemly for a man of your dignity" I push with mocking anguish tones this word and continue "To be seen to beg in public... whatever the cause!" And I walk away swiftly, so he can not catch me again

She just leaves without answering him properly! He sigh and needs help to stand up with difficulty, breathing heavily to unwind.
