Palace Maze

Margaret started walking towards Palace with Elizabeth, but she stopped after her sentence. She blushed and she looked at her with an embarassed air "I..I can't be with child, Elizabeth. Unless it is for immaculate Conception. Nothing happened between Anthony and me, yet.." It was hard for her to admit that, but she couldn't hide the truth from Elizabeth. She was her best friend. For this reason she hoped to come back with child from her honeymoon at Allington Castle

Margaret remained speechless for a little while. She never thought about the possibility that Anthony could be still virgin. She shook her head "Oh..I don't think so, Elizabeth. Once he told me that he had only one lady before meeting me. But..I guess he has been intimate with her. And I don't dare to ask. I fear..he could get angry. But even if he was..it would be not a problem for me. I love him.." She sighed smiling friendly at Elizabeth "Oh and about Klaus, don't care about what people say. They are just jealous of your happiness. You never trapped him. The whole court knows that Klaus is madly in love with you.."

Margaret smiled after looking up at the sky as well "I think the courting part should never end. Being married doesn't mean..stopping to achieve each other's heart. On the contrary, courting your partner even after marriage is the secret for an everlasting love. Oh..but maybe I am too much romatic. As always.." She giggled as they continue to walk together

Margaret rubbed Elizabeth's arm while walking "Oh..the King is a man like everyone else, my friend. But Anne Boleyn has been clever in keeping his attention on her for so long. If only my brother was not still in love with her..Thomas denies. But I know he still has feelings for Anne.." She sighed smiling at her "Are you nervous or scared for givebirth? Don't be. I shall be at your side, Elizabeth.."

Margaret was surprised that Elizabeth knew nothing about her brother and Anne Boleyn. She was going to reply when she saw Elizabeth sitting down again with a painful expression on her face "Elizabeth! Are you alright? Do you want me to accompany you in the infirmary?" She said with concern sitting at her side and taking her hand

Margaret was not sure that she was fully alright. Her breath was deep and she didn't remove her hand from hers. She nodded "Yes..he has two children. A boy and a girl. But Tommy and Annie live with their mother, Thomas's ex wife. You know..she cheated on him, so my brother obteined a divorce.." She paused looking intently at Elizabeth "Elizabeth..are you sure you're feeling well? You are so pale. Have you..contractions?" She asked finally, fearing that the baby was coming. But it was too early

Margaret shook her head "Oh it's not properly..a divorce. They are separated. So he could have an annullement. And..you know that my first marriage was annulled too. So Thomas and I have many things in common, besides sharing the same blood.." She giggled but after a while she looked at her with concern "Yes..I think it's better for you to lay on bed, Elizabeth. You look tired. Come, let's walk slowly and hold my arm. I wonder if Anthony will be protective to me when I'll be with child.." She said thinking about her biggest dream

Margaret laughed "Oh no..Thomas and I are not twins. He is even older than me. But our lives are very similar, this is true.." She looked at her, still not leaving her hand "Oh come on! You'll never be fat. I am quite sure that Klaus loves you as you are. And you're beautiful, Elizabeth. Just..are you sure you can walk?"

Margaret laughed "Oh I am not so strong, my friend. But I can escort you until Palace and you can watch me packing. Hope not to forget anything. Oh..wait! What if the baby comes while I am at Allington Castle? I promised you to be at your side, and I will.." She said suddenly, not wanting to leave her best friend alone during the most important moment of her life

Margaret laughed "You are so funny, Elizabeth. I am pretty sure that your child will inherit your humor. But don't worry. I shall be with you and everything will be fine. Now let's go inside, it's late.." She rubbed softly her arm and walked with her friend inside Palace

I smiled glad that Margaret appreciated the effort I put in to make her laugh. I think that she shall be a free spirit a dancer I hope. I smiled as a new wave of pain travelled up my back I waddled behind her thinking of nothing but a comfy bed.

Margaret looked at her to make sure that she was alright "A dancer? This would please Klaus, surely. I am sure that she will be beautiful. And if I shall give birth a boy, one day..we could arrange a marriage between them.." She added whispering and playfully. She giggled leading Elizabeth inside Castle, but still with slow movements to protect her big belly

Margaret stopped. Lowering her eyes she saw drops of water on the floor and she understood immediately. Elizabeth broke waters. She tried not to get panic and she looked at her friend "What? Oh my God..Elizabeth. The baby is coming. We must reach the infirmary as soon as possible. Can you walk? Otherwise a servant can take you in his arms to carry you until the infirmary.." She was so agitated, that she didn't even know what she was saying. She pulled back Elizabeth's hairs gently, noticing that she started sweating "I am here with you, breath deeply and don't worry.."

Niklaus came in the Palace Maze to look for a nice place for his next painting. He needed a new inspiration. Suddenly he heard female voices. Turning his head, he saw Elizabeth with her friend Margaret. But his wife looked in pain, so he rushed towards them "Elizabeth! My love..what's going on? Do you feel unwell? I'm here..I'm here, now.." Taking her hand in his he noticed she was holding her belly with the other hand. He looked questionally at Margaret
